Miniature Railways of Great Britain Glossop Manor Park Railway May 2018

Series five sees us visiting the railways around the Manchester area.A very quick turn around for this trip.
We start off in Glossop,the railway can be found in Manor Park at the East end of town.
With it being the Bank Holiday,the traffic was terrible so this delayed us and also stopped us visiting other railways that day,not a good start!
The railway is 7 1/4 inch gauge,it twists around the lovely park and through the trees.

I think I can just remember you putting that on. I have mainly Model Engineering Society tracks and private railways to visit from now on. Getting harder to get to them as it's a long way to travel just for one railway. We would normally combine visits with a holiday. London has the most I need to visit. But the ULEZ charges put me off going. I have cancelled three trips because of that.

@@wooltman I've been affected by the Ulez. Ickenham is my nearest miniature railway, only a 20 minute drive away but not without paying Ulez. I've visited that railway many times in the past but not yet made a video there. At least with most of the London Railway's you can get to them by public transport. I'm currently looking into the railways which don't open every weekend and putting their running dates into my diary.

Nice scenic railway like the bridge over the stream , I forgot to go to Barnards farm the other day they had visiting locos as well , i must remember to use my diary lol !

Due to the traffic Kay we parked out of the town and walked in (two miles each way) but it was a nice day....The park is nice and a nice location for this railway.The driver and I had a good chat about the railway we visit,he had even visited Pentney........Regards Chris
