Minibike Muddin: assembly and test of Coleman BT200X

Finally got my coleman BT200X and assembled and rode it through some very muddy situations. Very interesting to find out how much power this little thing has to give.

I had a hell of a time putting on the front forks. Still need to put on the headlight. I hope to test it on the weekend. Did you cut off the throttle limiter screw that's welded on?

Yes I did I didn’t in the video but later on I just used a Dremel with a cut off wheel I didn’t have to remove anything to be able to get in there and cut it.

@@makermentality1031 Man, I have to rewrite this post, lost it. Anyway, so after many attempts to try and start the thing and coated the bike in blood because I cut my finger on the carb bolts, I realised the top switch was not the kill switch, (I am still not sure, the rocker switch is I know) It started right up, it smoked a lot for a few minutes, I assume from factory lube burn-off. I cut the throttle limit screw off, but at full throttle it started starving, so of course I knew that it must be the EPA jet, the hole is too small. The other problem I had was ice everywhere on the trails, could not drive it, it was impossible! I took the side of the road home, it was -5C (23F) and my fingers were throbbing when I got home, that nice warm beer before I turned around to head back home really hit the spot.

Question: Can you lay it down in your car to transport it or will the fluids leak out if you do that?

I tried to get the screw off that connects the fork and it won’t come out

Maker mentality. I just bought one for my son I read the owners manual from Cover to cover I put oil and gasoline in it went to start it thepull start would not pull at all so I unbolted the pool start to make sure the cord wasn’t wound up come to find out the fly wheel will not turn at all by hand was there anything you had to do prior to starting it for the first time or should it start on the first pull? Thanks

All I can suggest is take out the spark plug and try pulling to see if that frees it up if not I would return it

🤦🏾 For People not mechanically inclined, just know that the ColeMan MiniBike’s have a problem (under fueling the engine) Please search for carburetor fuel pins, cause waiting around for these Hicks to suggest so will require a miracle
