The Las Golondrinas House is designed as a retirement retreat, providing a place of disconnection and rest where residents can spend extended periods away from the city. Situated at the top of the terrain, the house respects the surrounding nature and offers panoramic views of the mountains.
Organized into three independent volumes under a single sloped roof, each block houses different program functions. One volume contains the bedrooms, another is dedicated to social areas, and the third houses the kitchen and services. Between these volumes, a spacious covered terrace becomes the main social space during the day, while covered and semi-open corridors facilitate communication between the areas of the house.
The exterior of the house is clad in a matte black finish, complemented by details in tropical tzalam wood. Large windows punctuate the facades, creating a visual connection with the external environment and emphasizing the solidity of the volumes.
Designed by PPAA / Pérez Palacios Arquitectos Asociados, the Las Golondrinas house is an example of minimalist geometries and harmonious integration with the natural surroundings.
