My kids are 4 years old and 3 years old. Yes they have pillows...they were at their grandparents for the day when I filmed this. They take their pillows with them for nap time! 🙃 Yes...there is a book about where babies come from. It’s just the science behind it and age appropriate. Yes there is a training potty in the corner. Again, they are 4 and 3 years old. That’s not weird...that’s just polite parenting 🙃

Hi there, the room is lovely. I just needed to comment that your Daisy looks exactly like my Jack Russell named Tilden that passed a way a year and a half ago. Seeing Daisy was almost startling because for a second I thought that instead of passing away maybe Tilden just moved in with you guys. Seeing Daisy reminded me that Tilden lives on in spirit. Thanks so much for posting this video. Much love!

What is it that you look for in bedding that Target does well?
@ariannapflederer5 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure what you mean! I just mentioned that Target is ethical in the manufacturing of their own lines :) not other brands they sell, but in their own personal brands they create!
@rebeccaentrekin4445 жыл бұрын
Arianna. I just hadn’t thought of what unethical things might be done in the manufacture of bedding, but I’m sure there are many.
@catherine3805 жыл бұрын
Rebecca, unethical manufacturing practices would be things like child labor, unfair wages, unsafe working conditions, etc.
@ariannapflederer5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it had to do with forced child labor, dangerous working conditions, working hours max, fair wages, exc. It’s the same type of unethical practices that many clothing companies use in their plants! And really it stems beyond textiles as well unfortunately!

Ha. Anyways, cute room. I love it and want it for myself!!!! So pretty.

This is fantastic. I need to get rid of so many toys. I have one child and I have enough toys for like ten LOL though I think about half of them were gifts from other people. What do you do for their birthday parties? Ask people not to bring gifts?

When they were younger and had needs, we did this on our invites : Help Us Live Minimally! No gift is not needed, We truly appreciate the though. If you wish to still give a gift, Please consider a need be bought! And then there was an amazon wishlist with their current needs. They don’t really need anything anymore though, so the last birthday we asked for books only :)

Nobody is too old for naps. Do some more research. Ask your doctor. Even short 20-30 minute naps for adults are very healthy and promote daytime productivity. Young children need naps especially for their rapidly expanding brains. Not even sure why you used the word “disgusting.” Also, naps provide parents with small breaks. There are no cons.
@ariannapflederer5 жыл бұрын
You need to calm down or you will find yourself blocked and shouting profanities at no one. Your language and comments are utterly uncalled for and full of ignorance. Do not come on here shouting claims about things that are against any and all research. There is literally nothing backing a claim that kids shouldn’t nap past 14 months old. And kids shouldn’t be in school full time by 3 years old, no child can handle that. No preschool program even does that. Day care, yes. But that’s not school. My children are home schooled, they are advanced, and it doesn’t require full days of school in a desk. I feel incredibly blessed to have the ability to stay home with my children and be their teacher. If I was really that lazy, I would have chosen to send my kids to school 5 days a week while I sit at home. Yes my kids nap, and thank goodness cause it allows me to have the sanity and decency to not speak to people in disrespectful ways. It’s one thing to reply rudely to me. I had deleted your other comments and ignored until now. But you have taken upon yourself to reply to other viewers with the same tone and I have ZERO tolerance for your behavior towards others. If you are hurt, I am sorry. But lashing out at others does not fix your own issues. Take it elsewhere.

Did you guys build that little holder on the bed that has the remote and drink cup in it?? If so can you tell me how?? My daughter has a loft bed she’s always dropping her remote in her sleep and it freaks her out when it makes that loud bang noise at night!
@ariannapflederer5 жыл бұрын
Yes we made it! I didn’t have any build plans so it’s kind of hard to explain how. I just decided how big I wanted it based on that wall. Then used some wood scraps to cut to size. There are a few ways you can go about how it attaches. Ours just sits over the top and has a little piece of wood that hooks under the lip. They do make side tables to attach to bunk beds, but if your side rail isn’t squared off and flush with the mattress it usually will sit at an angle! I wish I could be if more help!

Beautiful room. I love that you don't have their clothes in their room. I suffer from allergies (rhinitis) and keep the bare minimum in my room. Most of my clothes and anything dust can hold on to, are in another room. I'm surprised that people are giving you a hard time about the potty. In my culture, kids will use them to pee during the night until they're 8 because parents don't want them in the bathroom alone at night.
@ariannapflederer5 жыл бұрын
Right? Especially a three and four year old. I wouldn’t expect them to get to the potty when half asleep in the middle of the night haha. Thanks so much for your comment 💛

Looking for a suggestion. My sons LOVE their legos. In particular my oldest takes great pride in keeping his sets together. I know that, even as we reduce other clutter, we will need to keep the legos. Do you have recommendations on how to store and display legos without them taking over the space?
@ariannapflederer5 жыл бұрын
If it were me, I would only allow so many sets to stay on display at once. But the ikea trofast systems are great for LEGO organization!

I have an under bed drawer from Ikea that my son uses for his creations. For big sets, other families have used the dining room table. LEGO is an awesome toy and it’s worth it to have a dedicated space for it.

The toys they play with a lot are the felt foods I made them or others have made for them.
