Awesome Isaac. The more trips you go on with Ember being young, naturally the more she will get used to her different surroundings. A matter of perseverance. All part of life. So important that her Mum and Dad can continue going on adventures, in whichever way. ❤❤❤

Invest in an electric blanket. There are some that you can use usb or car charger. It shouldn’t use much of your power source. You could also put a smaller area rug down that will help insulate some and be more comfortable crawling around. Hope this is helpful! Happy trails!

Zip on awnings, like tents, on the truck side? Many ideas out there now. Truck is used for storage, living in awning/tent.......? Maybe Isaac, watch out for what you call travel trailers there, to make more family room, head space, comfort in general. A do up, reno for you to also work on 😊, then you'll really be living the life

Truck camping is harder than tent camping. I wouldn't be able to climb in and out, can't sleep on the ground either 😂. It's a great truck for going off road. Have fun. ❤

You can get a taller shell cap, which would give you more head space. My 1st husband built a camper on our stepside truck. It was very heavy but worked. 😂 I need a step ladder to get into the box on my Longhorn ram truck😂. ❤

Isaac, concerning the buddy heater, I was just watching Soft Roading The West and he mentioned how he doesn’t run his heater at night as you mentioned some don’t. He did post that he uses a 12V electric blanket with his cold weather sleeping bag. I’d think that would work for you since you have the large Bluetti next to your bed. Just thought I’d share. My wife has one of these blankets and I’m going to do a test with it on our AC180 and see how the drain is.

The shell with the bump up is good but don't go over 6" or it will cut the fuel mileage a lot. If you get the cap line or you add cheap thin interior carpet for cars, you can put velcro on lights and just attach them. I just use the cheap puck lights with internal batteries. The cargo net on the ceiling was a nice idea but it would work better on the side opposite the bed. The cap is the only way to go. Mine was an 8' bed. You will appreciate the cap when you get groceries or haul plywood in bad weather. You will be amazed how you will get used to this rig and learn to love it.

I’ve owned a 01’ for 13 years and completely built it and just bought a 05’ DC I’m going all in on. These trucks are great trucks with minimal issues and a growing after market. I have a family and can not afford 50k+ new rigs and these for the prices will probably out last the new ones.. BTW did you do a vid on the bike? Thank you for sharing great vid!

I don't have room in my rig for a propane heater. I have a small 400w heater but I would only be able to run it for a few hours on my big power station, so I will be relying on my electric heating pads and electric blanket.

About your sleeping bag you say 0 degree, are you sure it's 0 degrees Celsius which is equal to 32 fahrenheits. A suggestion, why don't you install a hitch on the front of your truck for your bike rack, that would give you easy access to the rear box while leaving your bike attached to its rack.

I'm looking for Christmas 🎁 for my boys and you know they love camping. With the propane stove; can you put a cast iron skillet or griddle plate on it to make breakfast burritos? I'm in the market for something that'll heat in the evening and provide in a pinch cooking.

You look a bit lost these days. Finding yourself again after this major life change. I know you love your family but it was unplanned for this stage of your life. So regrouping isn't easy. You love them dearly but you don't seem "in love". Just my opinion. Doing what's best for your daughter may not be what's best for yourself, well being and happiness. I know everyone promotes sacrifice but be careful of the cost. Just saying. Witnessed this senero many times. ❤❤❤

Some call it roughing it, some might call it some other questionable words, but in my country, it's normal holiday adventure living. Unless those who might like to dismiss it have done it, let's not be so judgemental. There is no reason why, on Gods green earth, little ones cannot learnt to adapt and grow to love it. That goes for everything in life. It's all about learning and continuing to learn, as we age. 👍💌🚐🧭🌏
