Hey Cali! I noticed with hydro you use a nursery pot and a catch pot for the reservoir. Is there a reason why you don't just put everything in a closed pot and fill up water the same way? Is it so you can better see the water level? I've seen other hydros use glass container and put the plant, leca, and water all in one and they can see everything thru the glass. Wondering if you've tried that before or why you don't do hydro with just one pot?

What is the thing you were putting the water through for your coffee?
@minimalistcali4 жыл бұрын
Its a vietnamese french drip! My mom had this one for years then gave it to me but you can also find it on amazon: amzn.to/3lboSDQ

Hello ,can i just use flora micro to my hydroponics plant ? Or do i have to get all the 3 set?
@ericlunsford86853 жыл бұрын
Hello :) what part of the country do you reside? I’m asking because you said to take that insta account. I live in Denver Colorado and unsure on whether our tap water is safe etc. or should i only use distilled? Or let the water sit out over night to let the chlorine evaporate?

Love your SH videos! At what point do you stop adding super thrive to your nutrient water? Also, how were you able to move all your plants in SH? I’m going to have to move all my plants from Seattle to SoCal eventually...
@minimalistcali4 жыл бұрын
Kathyrn Lee I usually always add super thrive when I mix nutrients but it’s an optional step. My move was really easy because it wasn’t a far drive. I’d recommend putting the plants in a waterproof storage box, packed tightly next to each other so they don’t move around. Thanks for watching and good luck with your move!

I love your videos but this will sound really random since it's not about plants. I'm a huge coffee fan and when I saw you making coffee I swear I could smell it lol. I've never seen that kind of pour over. Where can I get one?
@minimalistcali4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lisa! Its a vietnamese french drip :) It makes the best coffee IMO. My mom had this one for years then gave it to me but you can also find it on amazon: amzn.to/3lboSDQ

Do you repot into leca during the winter/off season or do you try to wait until the growing season?
@minimalistcali4 жыл бұрын
Caitlin Smith I repot whenever I feel like it all year round but I also live in so cal! I probably wouldn’t do it during the winter if it wasn’t as sunny
@Ghost-sz7uo4 жыл бұрын
don't feel bad about using a glass to water your plants; I use my bike water bottle. us asians are great at repurposing stuff.
