Wonderful perspective!! There are plenty of people that "look the part" but they certainly don't act like it. God doesn't look at the outside - he looks at the heart! Thank you so much for this video!

So true! 💕 I still marvel at this sometimes. My friends in highschool that were ingrained in church and we're very boastful about being Christians, dressed more "Christian" wouldn't dare have dyed spiky hair like I did sometimes...LOL I was actually not Christian yet. And I don't do that now... though I'd still love colored hair if it's healthy dye. 😅 But it's sad the friends that had been warning me to follow Jesus or I'd "go to hell" are now extremely lost as adults. 😢 I feel so badly for them. And honestly I'd like to question them about how they got separated from their faith, to try to help others especially my children prevent that. But it's crazy how we went in opposite directions. You never know.

As a fellow human who lives in Indiana, covered in colorful tattoos, listens to punky music, and I don't dress punk rock, but I wear mostly black because it's what I feel good in... Thank you for this. I found my way back to God a few years ago. I was scared to go into a church like setting. We go to MOPS which consist Christian moms who meet at a church... I was so afraid of being judged when I went. These women have done nothing, but love me and make me feel welcome... If it would have been the opposite I would have not went back. And because of these women loving me and not judging me, it brought me even closer to God and opened my heart and my eyes. It made me not so afraid of Christians. It's brave what Kat Von D did and it's heartbreaking the horrible things people say. Why can't we just be happy and lift her in love and prayer... Why wouldn't you want to? Thank you for this. Truly. When you create a safe space where others who are different, feel welcome, it can make such a huge difference. Thank you.

Yes! Transformation is a process that takes time! The amount of time we have to transform is the rest of our lifetime on earth. We all have our own personalities. I pray that Kat finds this video. It sounds like she could use more friends and other women who are true Christians to stand with her. Thank you for being obedient to the Lord and getting this video out there. Thank you for your admonishment. I pray that those who are judging her will repent and turn back to YHVH and that they apologize.

As an older Christian woman(61). I appreciate your insights and comments. You are so right about how judgemental people can be! My hubby is not a believer and your recent post on that was so helpful and encouraging. It is wonderful to see Kat Von D talk about her Christian growth and journey and yes we should uphold her in prayer.

I just watched Allie's podcast yesterday with Kat! And I was totally thinking the same things you are saying in this video. It hurts my heart to have "mean" Christians out there saying such mean things & shedding a bad light & doing the opposite of spreading love & kindness. Jesus loved the outcasts & we should too! Proud of you for putting this out there & super proud of Kat! God bless both of you!

I loved her interview! Coming from the new age myself, I felt so encouraged seeing her baptism as I was just saved last year. She gives many hope, and think of all the younger generations who are living a more alternative lifestyle she can be a role model for! I can say I relate to how she feels when encountering the Christian side of youtube comments as well. New Christians like myself should be very careful not to get too involved with false prophets online, avoid the comment section. I always prefer my Bible over any kind of online teachings. I really respect Kat for focusing on biblical doctrine.

I watched her interview when it first went live. I was completely blown away. It doesn’t surprise me that Spencer Smith spoke harshly about her. I stopped watching him after another episode he was harsh in . I’m glad you said to lift her and her family up in prayer, because that is what I have been doing since I heard about her baptism. She is so different now than when she had her own show. I appreciate her humility.

Amen, and thank you! Having only just found your channel in the past few days, while seeking support to learn more about biblical womanhood, it’s a delight to see this video today and witness your perspective. What you’ve said has corrected, convicted and encouraged me so much! Thank you friend. I came from a worldly, occult, Buddhist/New Age life myself, saved just before I turned 40 and was engulfed by the false church/false teachers for at least the first year of my walk in faith before I found Brother Spencer’s 3rd Adam series. I know now how God tries our love for him so I understand this process. You’re spot on that that questioning mind has deepened my seeking/understanding within my faith, and sadly spot on that the greatest opponents out there are other Christians; at times my experience of the brethren has been harder than that of the world BUT, Praise God, it’s deepened my walk biblically and I understand how the enemy does use Christians. Heidi, thank you… it’s lonely here in the UK with no solid biblical churches and so many apostate and false churches but channels like yours are my home church and I’m so grateful you’re here

Thank you, Heidi. ❤🙏I am lifting Kat and her husband up and their little son in prayer. She can reach so many that I could not reach; my step daughter is one. She’s a tattoo artist too. I remember being judged by a church leader when I was a baby Christian for running my mouth. To this day, she avoids me and shows contempt towards me. I’ve forgiven her. Thank the Lord for His sanctifying work in my life!!

Allie Beth interview with her was so good and Im so happy for Kat. Ive always loved her. And i think Allie gave her so much grace. When people come at someone so negatively, it definitely is not helpful. Prayers are covering her and her husband! I have a nonbeliever husband and understand the challenge, and when they see people who claim to be Christian respond the way some have, it is a major setback some times. I really felt Kat was so genuine and thats thing about someone who has been so far away from God, they seem to have this different relationship. This fire!

Thank you so much for this! I came to Christ last year after being involved in occult/new age for a long time and Ive been shy to get into Christian community because I have tattoos. I'm working on getting some of them removed and can cover most of them with modest clothing, but if they peak out I have been judged by the few believers Ive talked to and have had a lot of shame. To hear you support her and talk about your own testimony & sanctification process meant a lot.

Great conversation. People will judge what they do not fully understand. I was a punk/metal head for many years. I then embraced yoga (gasp, I know). But these things slowly brought me back to God. Yoga made me a better person and will always be grateful for the path God put me on to get me here today.

I like doing yoga for the stretches and isometric muscle building. I’m not a fan of the pain meds my Dr. prescribes. I need to keep my flexibility and arthritis & bursitis pain at bay. I do exercises at home or at studios who play instrumental music without that “eery spiritual” vib. That vib leaves my soul unrested.

Most believers speak out against yoga because it is rooted in Hinduism. The poses are all to align your chakras. Your basically practicing Hinduism. Look into what it means and why it's done. We need to use discernment in all things. God Bless

at 11:10 that is exactly what she talked about in her interview. it is such a turn off and a drag to deal with the "holier than thou" people. i don't think that we should judge on people. "he who is without sin, cast the first stone" .

Yes yes yes!!! I teared up watching her interview and I teared up watching your video. I used to love Spencer smith, when I came back to faith after a few years of wayward living… Spencer was someone I felt I needed. Someone to slap me on the wrist and pour cold water on me! Give me the hard truth!!! But over the past 3 years, I’ve noticed that I don’t agree with his approach which seems more void of grace. 😢 None of us are perfect. And Kat seems so genuine in her faith. At the end of the interview when she calls out Christian’s saying, why wouldn’t you just pray for me and my husband? Wow.. exactly! Thank you for making this video!❤

Listened to her testimony today and yes when I hear how disheartening it was to Kat about other believers what they have done to to stray her husband from the gospel it broke my heart.. hearing Kat’s response was absolutely listening to another sister in Christ who is growing as we are all forever learning and should strive to be the image bearer of Christ allowing the Lord to speak before we respond 🙏. Praying and loving other’s and the not sin. I have seen many testimonies in my own life and it all started with the seed being planted, watered and we will never fully arrive until we are home with our Lord❣️🤗Praising our heavenly Father for working on my heart and helping me to re-examine my soul and response. I’m in awe of who the Almighty uses to grow his kingdom from all walks and going back to His righteousness as it is by His grace we are saved ❤ Thank you Christ Jesus for interceding on our behalf’s❣️All glory and honor to the King of Kings !

Amen!!!!! I can’t like this enough!! As someone who spent 28 years in the occult and new age before waking up to the truth and accepting Christ as my Lord and savior , I can relate sooo much to what Kat is going through. It takes time for the old self to die. Since becoming Christian in 2018/2019 so much has changed for me but it has been a process of learning and growing into my faith. I too watch Spencer Smith and he comes across often as smug and downright hateful and intolerant at times. I find it difficult to even listen to him. I don’t think we are going to show non believer’s the love and the truth by acting that way. Sometimes we have to meet them where they are at and how they are. I wear black just about everyday because I am a massage therapist in a spa… that’s what we wear. The color is a uniform to me, nothing more but someone who doesn’t know me if I stop at the grocery store might think I just came from a funeral or am into something dark just because of what I’m wearing! We all need to lean into our discernment when it comes to “ judging” others and their fruits. Good work Heidi👍🏼💛👍🏼

One day I asked my pastor's wife why some church people acted so ugly with other Christians, and she said to me that because not everyone is in the same spiritual level. We, as Christians living in the world, have a constant war going on, discerning sin from difference. Discerning giving gentle correction over actual sin from gossiping and acting out of our own conscious issues. Not biting and devouring one another. So glad to know I have another sister in Christ, and I'll be praying for her husband.

I liked Kat, I thought she was cool. What a blessing and a testimony! YAH is definitely using Kat! And I agree with what you said and for those “Christians” quick to attack, smh. When I was a new believer, my soon to be mother in law a professing believer (9 years ago) judged me and condemned me. Until she got to know me; she sincerely apologized later for her behavior…. We have a great relationship now and it’s funny how I am helping her with her walk now as she’s needing it. This is an awesome reminder to meet those where they are in their life. Well said!! 👏🏼👏🏼 As I was watching the interview, I saw a woman who just wanted to be genuine. I respect that. I believe her faith is real. I tend more often to be cautious of people who portray themselves as have already attained perfection and therefore judge and criticize everyone who doesn’t meet their idea of “Christian”. We need to remember God looks at hearts. There’s nothing holy about pushing people away when they need the encouragement and fellowship the most. I pray she continues in Christ and eventually leads many lost souls to Him. 🙏 And… the fact she ever felt the need to shield her husband from comments from so called Christians so he wouldn’t be turned away from Christianity. That was embarrassing and sad. 😢

I watched Allie’s video a few days ago and it’s wrecked me.. it s great way. I’m really thinking deeper … on myself and how I’ve been judgemental, how I’ve felt I’ve had to “play the part” and wondering if I may have gotten so many things wrong at how I view people… and my own relationship with God! I think God was 1000% in this interview and putting it before me specifically! About 2-3 weeks (maybe a couple months ago even) I randomly was thinking of Kat von D.. I knew a while back she was claiming Christianity and throwing away the occult stuff.. and so I went and looked at her IG, and I found myself judging .. (didn’t comment) but I was like, How can you proclaim Christ and still do some of the things she’s doing… (not the “punk rock look”) but more so the music and the immodesty.. and then I saw this video with Allie and BAM, hit me like a ton of bricks… that God IS IN CONTROL of her heart and knows her true intentions.. .. I just found it so ironic I was thinking of her a few weeks ago and then this interview came up … to now see and realize , our walk is all different, and sometimes the fruit we see is a deep eternal fruit that not everyone can recognize because it’s a deep heart change that only the people CLOSE may be able to see at first. looking back at how the Lord CHANGED ME… wow… I was saved in like 2014… and it wasn’t until 2019 that the Lord did RADICAL changes in my heart, prior to that it was so small subtle changes.. And 2019 to present day.. God has been doing this RADICAL thing in my life.. I’m not even recognizable.

But her video that she chose to release is extremely dark and erotic. Everything on her Instagram is dark just like her children’s book she just released as well. I do see what you’re saying and also what Kat was saying. But it also seems like she was very careful not to offend the new agers or the ppl still involved in witchcraft instead of coming right out and saying it’s satanic and not of God. We are to come out from the world and be separate and she’s not doing that at all. I realize sanctification takes time. We shall see. Definitely praying for her as she claims she’s been a Christian for three years now not just a few weeks or a few months and look at her posts and music videos over the past several years. Not good. I do believe she loves the Lord I’m not saying she doesn’t at least I pray it’s genuine, but I think she needs to stay out of the limelight for a while and grow in the Lord bc she isn’t doing anyone much good that I can see with what she’s still portraying

Great review! I écho much of your point of view. I’ve noticed that in the Christian church that we don’t trust God to transform people. When someone comes into the Christian church looking, acting and smelling different, we take it upon ourselves to change them and forget to love them. Transforming a character is something only God can do. I look back at who I was and I don’t recognize myself. The more we push others to conform to our standards, the more they dig their heels in the world and may ultimately reject God’s conviction. I see a softer person in her and she has been on my prayer list. Stop chasing people Away. Yes, their relationship should not be contingent on our misrepresentation of Jesus however, Satan uses our lack of compassion to pull them away from church. Let’s heal from this sin. It is killing us spiritually. I do t know how true her conversion is but I’m hopeful. I don’t follow or worship her but God wants her to be saved above all else.

Watching that interview, which I really loved, made me wonder if Kat is a voice for the voiceless in a way. I wonder how many others like her are out there who didn't find a church that they love and are just out in the margains because they don't look the part. I was really skeptical of her at first until that interview and I shouldn't have been.

I relate a bunch! Watching Heidi is what made me puzzle that together. 😊 I was wearing patches and moshing and drinking and listening to Danzig and Rancid, the Dead Kennedy's and the Addicts...some of my FAVORITES when I was saved were Led Zeppelin and Nirvana/KC. I was pansexual too. I'm very different now, many years in. But yes it takes time! I love Delafé Testimonies! One of my favorites is a lovely woman who struggled with homosexuality even after she was saved. But she comes of genuine. I think it's something else that the friends I grew up with that were super preachy in h.s. and not of the rebellious lifestyle, ingrained in churches..grew up to change the opposite direction. 😢 It makes me sad. But for some reason it's happened. I'd love to get their take on that because I worry for my children. It is sad about Kat von D and her husband. My husband still says he feels guilt about mocking me for my faith before we got married... But in earnest I was not that serious about it and I don't consider myself truly saved the time because I didn't understand what that meant. I wonder if part of what is keeping Kat in a place where she is obsessed with death is less about all the years of tats of dead loved ones and more about something else that keeps her attached to her husband. When I researched Biblical divorce I remember one's spouse refusing salvation is a legit reason. So that's serious. But obviously the best case scenario in our minds as hopeful Christians is for them both to be saved together. 💕 I initially was super suspicious of her "coming out" until I saw her on Allie Beth. And we don't know what's in someone's heart.

Thank you for this video! I am so excited that Kat has become a Christian. Praise God and welcome to the family of God Kat! She is now a sister-in -Christ. So let’s welcome her and treat her like one. Whatever work needs to be done will be done through the Holy Spirit in her and also in us. Everyday, every moment God is leading and teaching His people. The acceptance of and belief in Jesus is only the beginning of our journey.❤

This truly convicted me. I have been so wary about Kat and her faith. We see so many times that celebrities say they are saved and believers and they are actually very e v i l and practice disgusting things. I should be praying for her and her family and pray that her testimony truly calls many others to Christ. ❤ I am ashamed. My initial response to her was very un Christ like. Praise God for His mercies are new every day. ❤🙏🙌

I was happy she sought out a Bible-teaching church - it's not everyday one hears that a new Christian sought out a baptist church... i'm happy about that, as opposed to a "prosperity" church. I'm happy for Kat!! I could relate to her story.

I am reminded of a friend of mine. He used to be involved with drugs and was in prison, got saved, fell in love with someone from my church got married and someone from my church got to him and says "You know smoking is not a Chrisinnful, you should stop that." and his response was" Yes, you are right, but there are more important sinnful things in my life that I have to deal with first" Surely helped me to not be overly assumptious and judgemental anymore.

I watch Spencer Smith as well but sometimes he can be too judgemental to me, he does not give much room for grace in my opinion. I thought i was saved since i was small, grew up in a Christian home however i really don't think i was saved until a few years ago. My husband is not saved as well..... He refuses to go to church due to past bad experiences in church ....i just pray for him daily and try to show him how Christianity really should be, i am not perfect at all, i do fall short daily so i may not look what another Christian might think i should but I know i and saved, my mind has been changed drastically. Thank you for your videos! None of us are perfect..... We are all growing!

I really don't pay a whole lot of attention to any celebrities. I haven't watched any of the videos about her baptism. I see the pictures and she seems genuinely happy and as far as I'm concerned, she's a Christian. That's not my place to judge although, I have in my sin nature on people. I just think it's going to be funny when she's raptured and gets her new glorified body, she'll be wearing white. I can see her asking God to make an exception...joking of course. Unfortunately, being out there to be scrutinized by the world and sadly, Christians, is tough. She just needs to continue being the light of Christ for her husband. I'll have to watch the interview later.

I did read that she burned her occultic books. I believe she is sincere, and God will continue to help her grow. The Bible says there is nothing evil of itself. I agree that just because someone wears a certain style of clothes, doesn't mean that they are lost. Many Christian groups use to wear a lot of black and gray, even the Puritans. I think many times true Christians can be too judgmental about things that are not very important (like hair leangth, music styles, jewelary, clothing styles, and sometimes even food) and that can really turn the lost away and harm new Christians. I was raised that all Christian rock was evil, but there is nothing in the Bible that says that a certain musical beat is evil. I was raised to be very judgmental and I have had to change and stop judging people for things that aren't even sin, like music styles, tattoos, men wearing necklaces, bracelets, and earrings (Men in the Bible wore all that stuff, God never condemned it as long as they did not look like women), men having shoulder leangth hair (as long as they don't look like a woman, women having short hair (as long as her husband is fine with it), and even women wearing sleeveless and strapless tops, or even half shirts. I may not do all of these things myself, but I can't say that other's are sinning, unless I find Scripture that says they are, which to my surprise I have not been able to find yet. The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self control. This is the fruit Jesus said we are to judge by. Now, I can't bring myself to wear tops like that, but the Bible even speaks of a belly button jewel, so a half shirt apparently is not sin, unless it goes against the wishes of a woman's husband. I mean I can't even bring myself to where anything too much lower tha my color bone, and I have a hard time finding tops. I bought myself a nice button down shirt with flowers on it a few weeks ago and decided I would button the top button on it, because it just opens a little to far than I like. Then I found out that homosexuals button their top button. That made me mad, and I was very troubled about it. On the one hand, I don't want those wicked people determining my personal standards, nor do I want to identify with abominations in any way, nor do I want to start down the slippery slope of lowering my personal standards until the day comes that I would have to actually dress in an unbiblical manner in order so that people don't think that I am a homosexual, just because I dress too modestly! I spent a few days in prayer over this, and God just kept telling me that I could either button the top button or not, because either way was ok with Him. But I was still concerned that other Christians might think I was a homosexual if I buttoned my top button, so finally God said, "You remember how the old fashioned women used to wear a broach over their top button," and I said "Ya, like one of those cameo things?" And God said, "Ya, you can get one of those and cover the top button with it, and no one would think you were a homasexual."I said, "Ok, that will work." So I bought one, and now I can where any button down shirt with the top button buttoned. I am comfortable, and no one will think anything bad about me. They may think I am a little old fashioned and weird, but that's ok, people think that about me anyway. I agree there are biblical standards of dress, but God's standards are not quite as strict as mine. I can keep my standards for myself, especially if lowering them makes me feel uncomfortable, but I cannot at all push my stricter than God's standards on others. So, I agree we all need to just pray for Kat that God will help her to grow and obey Him in everything. I think she is doing fine, considering what she came out of.

As a long time KZbin watcher of so many Christian influencers, I PRAY, I PRAY, that Kat Von Dee's testimony does NOT influence us to dress like her, listen to her music, or be like her. I pray she influences us to take ALL our choices to God and let the Holy Spirit guide us. What triggers one individual to sin, may be a non-issue for another. The bottom line is that we are to abide in Christ; every breath we take, every step we take, abide in the Lord. I saw a video where someone was attacking her appearance. I left a comment. I hope she sees it. I basically said that because of her experiences and appearance, she is able to be a light to a certain "type" of people that this middle-aged housewife would NEVER be able to influence. Right? True for all of us! USE all your life as a way to minister to others. God has a unique role for you that others can't fill. Also...PRAY for Kat and other famous Christians. Why not! Can't imagine how challenging it is to go public with your faith when you always have a camera in your face.🇨🇦♥️

When I was born again, there was no way I would have spoken out with any authority or tried to encourage people to follow the path I was on. It is easy to lead a new Christian astray and that is scary. I read the Bible through 3 times before I truly stepped out and used my voice for the Lord. The first time I read it, I cried as I recognized my sin condition. The 2nd time I read it, I was lead by a Messianic Rabbi who showed me that Jesus loves me as well as exactly how Jesus was active in my life by comparing old and new testament...and teaching me Hebrew words. The 3rd time I read it, I read it word for word while listening at the same time. I don't know what is happening with this celebrity, but I do believe she needs to strengthen her relationship with Jesus, and start with a firm foundation of the Word before she puts herself out there. Salvation is the most valuable gift a person can receive. So many of us had different types of stumbling blocks out in front of us before we came to the Father. I would be devastated if something I said caused someone to delay in coming to Him. ❤

Amen 🙏🏼 🙌🏼 Your perspective is truly heavenly minded, seeing it through His eyes. Wow! It is mind blowing how so many “Christians” give our Lord a terrible witness. Out of the mouth speaks what the heart is full of… it’s incredible it’s just like the Pharisee and Sadducee’s turned Christian, tried to force the gentile believers into the yoke of circumcision and the old law (which is done in the flesh). It’s just a new form of legalism, trying to keep people out of heaven. The enemy is alive and well, trying to cause division at any weak point. So many people living by sight instead of faith, the Lord looks at the heart ❤️ and His ultimate goal is to circumcise our hearts, breaking our hearts, for what breaks His. And the more we get to know Him, filling ourselves with the Bread of Life, His Word, the Living Water… rivers of living water will flow from us!!! Both in word and deed, not to look good ourselves, but to be and do the good that He purposed in/for us, following Holy Spirits leading and guidance, being sanctified, transformed by the renewing of our minds, with such a deep connection to/with Him that we will see from and know His perspective, able to test and approve what His will is, His good, pleasing, perfect will. I’m so grateful to have found your channel recently. Thank you for serving our Lord, sharing your testimony and wisdom gained ❤ God bless you sister! 🤗🙌🏼🙏🏼🥰 (😉 don’t hate the haters, hate the hate)

This is the kind of thing that chased me away from the church; and initally God. The expectation of blindly following a church and then all the judgement that the people of the church would offer my family. My boyfriend and I have been together for 16 years. I'm 32. So that means we've been together since we were 16. We met on the school bus. We've been monogamous the whole time. Not breaking up once. But we are not married. We have two children. I stay home. He works. But i know as soon as we walk through those church doors they will begin judging us and pressuring us to marry. And I'm not interested in either. The sanctity of marriage has been destroyed. That piece of paper means little to nothing anymore; other than allowing the government into our relationship. What do we gain? I've promised myself to him and he promised himself to me. I think God sees that. God knows we're married spiritually. But the judgment from the church is just awful. All the Christians pointing their fingers at us makes me sick with anger. Especially since 90% of the people who are pointing have slept with more people, been divorced, actively cheat on their spouse, disrespect their spouse with gossip to friends, and do all types of awful things in their relationship. They do all the things that have led me to think the type of marriage they judge me for not having is fake. Our relationship is more real than most people of our ages' parents. I know where we sit with the Lord. And I don't want any human's judgment. We've got to be better. So many Christians sit on a high horse "above" everyone else; but what they forget is when you place yourself on the pedestal everyone can see your sins too. They are not perfect. And it's not their place to judge. Is disheartening. I'm praying for Kat and anyone else who feels chased away from God because of "Christans" who behave this way. Fear not another humans judgement. Fear only the fathers. And ignore Satan working through them. Trying to tear you away from God through their false beliefs. 🙏 God knows our heart.

I pray for Kat and all those like her who may not look like or or act like what some Christians expect. The only mold that matters is made by the Holy Spirit and how he shapes each of us who are saved. Jesus doesn’t love and accept a future version of ourselves. He loves us completely right now. It’s not about living perfect lives because we can’t and Jesus did that for us. Focus on loving God and others and we’ll do no harm. Out of love flows grace.

Our job is to glorify Christ, right? How are we doing that through the nasty comments, hateful judgements and lack of encouragement? It is true that we are to disciple one another, but we are to do so with the temperance of the Holy Spirit. Never even once did Christ use nasty comments and/or hateful judgments, and never did He fail to offer encouragement as He sought to draw people closer to Himself.
