Bad belle. You left Jigawa poor, even when minimum wage was even under 18k.

Mischievous walahi, it's easy opening mouth 👄 like basket when you're at the other side. However, the Nigerian government can do better on the welfare of civil servants. It's well with Nigeria and Nigerians

Let's make it that all political office holders earn minimally. Starting from the president to the ward councilors.. let's tag it POLITICAL SACRIFICE. Nigeria leaders are so insensitive and mean!

Nigeria is Rich, Nigeria is Rich, story for the ages. All countries are rich if all the policies and systems pushes for the establishment and maximisation of that wealth throughout the country; no country is categorically poor, even countries with almost no resources, a good example being Japan. Nigeria is poor not because it doesn't have the potential to be rich, like i said, all countries have that potential; it's poor because the system has f*cked that potential all up, the country is mentally at a state were getting out of this deep hole we've continuously dug ourselves in since day 1, is now almost impossible. This is the reason you see the Igbos reviving the call for a secession we all thought was long dead; the Niger Deltans are slowly getting into that mindset for theirs too; i won't be surprised if the South Westerners start thinking in that direction too... There's only so much people can endure before they start saying "We want out".

I doubt if a secession can work in Nigeria. The igbos themselves like to fight among each other in their region but, when they are in Lagos, Kano, abuja etc, they pretend all is well. 😂

If the minimum wage is increased drastically, inflation will eat back the money. You guys don't know what you're asking for. The government should improve the policies.

Labour ought to have started this strike with a call against the excesses in salaries and perks of the executive and legislative, before the call for increase in minimum wage. People are sitting like fat cows and deciding on the future of the common man. They need to show some restraint on their spending before asking others to tighten their belts. Having said that, 250k in a non-productiveeconomy is unrealistic and cannot be sustained without pruning down the public service.

Stop making everything about South and North. As if it's only north that will get the increased wage. Besides he didn't ask to dump the project and pay pple instead

🙂, uhmm really! Whenever ' read about NORTH & SOUTH, just laughed. There's notin, notin, notin w can do 2 separate 1 from other. W have families married from both sides, living happily ever after. And it's vice versa, north vex about south, south vex about north. It's gud dat the old national anthem has been reintroduced, may be if w really become patriotic, w can BUILD A NATION WHERE NO MAN IS OPPRESSED AND SO WITH PEACE AND PLENTY NIGERIA MAY BE BLESSED AMEEN!!!!!

He is right. This type of high value expensive projects are designed to bankrupt a nation. Besides, where is the real money for it if the govt also claims they can't pay civil service workers a living wage? 🤔

@@aminajaafar3645 if a citizen is angry about road construction question him. Is the west still talkin about road construction. They talk about maintenance is it not a shame in Nigeria as giant of africa. Is God a man to deposit all the resources with population. The rest of africa had hopes in Nigeria but Nigeria has kept Africa in her kneels. Everyone afraid of Nigeria 419
