So one summer day me and my friend were having a lemonade stand! We had a pretty lit stand but we only got about 5 dollars. We were about to give up but then this awesome woman drive up and bought a one dollar lemonade for $100! She did such a nice thing for two little girls who were having a hard time! And I can tell you I will never forget that❤

WOW! Good For You, Joel! A pergola is going to be so nice for your family to have some great times outdoors to have family fun or for entertaining friends and relatives! Can't wait to see how pretty it turns out. That is going to add some wonderful value to your home, too. Ups the price when and if you and Bonnie decide to upgrade and put a "For Sale" sign out front.
@donnaconrad88517 жыл бұрын
...also, Bonnie, why didn't you correct Olivia's spelling of "l-e-m-o-n-a-d-e?" This is how children learn proper spelling? Also, the teeny-tiny writing on the sign and the location of the lemonade in the back of the kiddie-car didn't provide drivers with being able to SEE that the kids had a cool drink to sell. Actually, it's funny yet surprises me that you can use a public roadway to sell a product. Here in FL, even though this was a venture made by kids, it's illegal to use public roadways or parks to put up any kind of selling whatsoever. Cruel, I know, but very much true! Things are not how they were in our parents time. Nowadays, even a kids lemonade stand could create a traffic jam, and police would fine you for not having a license to sell. We are not even allowed to post yard sale/garage sale signs on roadways leading to someone's home. Our city will have them pulled, and the homeowner is fined. Maybe, you should look into this, before the kids do this again, just to make sure you are in compliance, and if so, then Olivia could make a bigger sign with BIG lettering to get drivers attention. :)

If you read all of this i love you. Seeing Joel build the pergola, and talk about his drills was super emotional for me. i lost my dad to cancer almost 7 weeks ago. i used to be his shadow, where ever he went i went. if he was building something, painting or just pottering, i would be helping him too. you would hardly see us apart (apart from school, work and work trips obviously). he was a great father, not perfect, but no one is.. but my mums dad bought him a Ryobi drill (my papa was a builder), and my dad loved it so much he bought so many different Ryobi battery tools. probably 20 different things. and now that he's not around we're having other people come in and do the work dad would have done, but my mum and i can't do now. everything i know about building etc i was taught by my dad. and i dont ever want to have to part with my dads tools. my mum and i actually just organised all his tools and everything into draws and a pegboard. we could never find a screwdriver, a spanner, a stanley knife, drill bits etc, but now that they are organised in one draw unit we have like multiple of the same screwdrivers, and life all the different sizes you could ever want, like 10 stanley knifes, its crazy. and about 4 hammers. but i dont think i could part with any of it. we organised it and now we could go through and cull stuff, but i dont think i could. id regret getting rid of dads hammer, or stanley knife, or saw, that i used to always see him use. oh its hard to loose someone especially when you're still a teenager (i'll be 20 in 2 1/2 months, my first birthday without him). dad was unwell with brain cancer for 19 months, and was diagnosed with bowel cancer for the last 3 months of that (he had bowel cancer for probably the last 5 months of his life), so my families life has been very difficult the last 21 months.

So I'm from Australia and we say certain words different to how you say them in America. When Joel said "pergola" I was thinking, umm a what? Then it clicked and I laughed so hard! In Aus we pronounce it "per-goal-ah" so we put more emphasis on the "go" part of the word. We also say aluminum different with more emphasis on the first "u" like "al-you-min-yum" is I gusss how we pronounce it. Hahaha! Love your work Hoellein fam!
