Watch as I disassemble a camera and remove the parts that intrigue me. I love looking at circuit boards. They are like tiny cities.
Listen as I fiddle around with my modular synthesizer. I also added some eerie keyboard melodies.

Taking apart electronics is also one of my guilty pleasures. Fixing the "unfixable", finding the right driver end (fancy driver kit btw, who is the manufacturer?), figuring out ways to carefully disassemble without damaging anything. Perfect music for the occasion:) And there is no greater satisfaction than getting a broken gizmo to work after learning that the only way to do that is to send it back to the manufacturer! I finally got my French cassette player to play. This video reminds me of my struggles, and the glorious moment when I pressed play))) Edit: The tiny screws are always made of softer alloys, and not stripping them can be an art form.

Those tiny screws have always troubled me! I got that Strebito kit specifically because I was tired of drilling out those pesky things. I was watching a video by "My Mate Vince" and when he opened up his new bit kit (with the fancy magnetic grip) I knew that's what I needed. I probably won't use 90% of those bits but I feel like a well-equipped technician now. Time to tear down more stuff!! Congratulations on fixing your tape player. I know that struggle. As always, thank you for your reflective feedback.🙂

Hand videos are fine! It depends on what the hands are doing. I was fascinated the whole time. Great patch with lots of variety and some interesting percussion. I'm especially captivated by the "ffft" (kind of backwards swish) and am trying to figure out how you made it. Somewhere I've got "The Twiddler" which is the motor from a hard drive I took apart and soldered an instrument jack to two of the wires. When you twiddle the axle, it makes a (VERY LOUD) "woop woop" sound.

Thank you, Joshua! I should emphasize that Hand Videos are still my favorite form of entertainment, and yours are top of the list. In this one I should have annotated where the sounds were coming from. The fffft is a sample of my finger brushing the tine of my kalimba. It is contained on my DIY drum sequencer (the device with galaxies painted on it). It's one of my favorite sounds, along with a sample pack of Cuckoo doing his "dssh" sound. Reviewing this video I have noticed that the soundtrack is a little out of sync with the footage - that does make the beats hard to identify.

I was amazed by how small some of those screws were! They seemed to get smaller as I got deeper into the device. Thank you so much for watching, Ubiji.
