Great cover from a great soundtrack! Speaking of David Wise, have you ever heard of Tengami? It's a Point-and-Click Adventure for the Wii U and PC with very colorful artwork with a traditional Japanese style that's arranged to look and play something like a pop-up book. David Wise composed the score and it shows; I was getting some pretty heavy Donkey Kong Country 2 vibes from a number of the tunes.

As a teacher I play DK2 before the first day of school to remind of what good teaching to the player is, I could go on about the level design but it is the music that helps me through the tough parts. This is one of the best versions of mining melancholy, girl you just keep doing versions of stuff I grew on. Keep on :)

This is spectacular! I’ve watched your videos for a long time, eagerly anticipating Mining Melancholy. Hot-Head Bop drew me in, and Forest Interlude and Krook’s March kept my attention. For some reason I never thought to actually check your channel for more beautiful covers, but I’ve finally come to my senses. The DKC2 music takes me back two decades, to fond memories of playing my favourite game. Thank you for that experience. I can’t wait to explore more of your work.

3 years later I still love this! figured this time I'd mention I have a specific playlist full of Dad's favorite music I put on when we go for a drive or make dinner, and tonight I realized the Jammin' Sam Miller restored version of Mining Melancholy was in there on its own so of course I had to add yours as well! most of the time when a KZbin classic comes up Dad says excitedly, "Do you have the video?" and usually I say "Nah, just the track in the music library," but this time I was like, "This time I need to watch the original!" hopped on KZbin, queued this up, and downloaded the video for safekeeping, so I've got both the Amazon audio file in my music library as well as the video for the full effect. :) SO GOOD. Michelle you rock! thank you again for bringing a whole new dimension to not only the best track from Diddy's Kong Quest, but my Dad's favorite track from those games.
