as a huge nintendo nerd who spends a lot of his time on youtube listening to remixes, covers, and the like of nintendo songs, and also as someone whose favorite game (and soundtrack!) is DKC2 too, it absolutely *baffles* me how I haven't come across your content sooner. It's AMAZINGLY good, and I loved every bit of this reimagining. I keep forgetting about this song even though it’s from my favorite game OST. You really did this one justice. Your cover is so hauntingly beautiful I can’t get it out of my head. Some of those final measures bring nostalgic sadness and longing to the fore of my emotions…in a good way.
