Fantastic video. I've been thinking about switching from Windows to Linux for a while. Never heard of this distro but after you showed it off, I'm definitely going to try MiniOS. Also, thank you for the tips you provided.

@@djblake-d3b thanks for kind words and for stopping by. I would recommend Linux Mint for a full daily driver. This one is nice for portable. I would feel more comfortable with it if they would give more info on who makes it and maintains it without making me join a chat. I do like it though. I have more to learn about it. I was able to edit the configure file and make it password log in and change password by editing the file. I truly found it by accident or by Providence. I had used some lite distros and one day out of the blue I thought of the name "Mini Linux" and wondered if anyone had used the name. I did a search and found this. Honestly I had never heard of it before to my knowledge. Good day. Please visit again.

Open Downloads folder, right click in white area, choose Open Terminal Here, Type this command: sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb Then press enter. Then go to the MiniOS system menu and search for chrome. Done.

Can I install a chrome & vs code in this OS?
@BitsOfTruth3 күн бұрын
@@rabunet I am not sure what vs code is. If wanted Google Chrome I would try downloading the Debian package from Google dot com, and install it using the terminal. I am not even sure if apt is installed here as I plan to use it off line as a disk utility OS.

yes you can run Chrome. I tried to answer on my Phone but KZbin must have blocked it. I will try again on my Laptop.
