CPU-wise, I have the Minisforum UM690S and the 6900HX is actually a bit faster than my desktop 5600x. Also, as a comparison point, I am able to run "Black Mesa", the Half-life Source remake, at 1080P high settings at a stable 60FPS and Doom 2016 at 60FPS (I'm running the 690S on a 60hz tv so full fps is not available)

I would love to see a direct feature and benchmark comparison between this 780XTX and the AOOSTAR GOD7 - same basic hardware but very different setups and cooling, how do they compare?

We have not heard of or have ACOSTAR before unfortunately. We do have a new review video out later today comparing it with the Beelink SER7 which has the same processor.

How much fps in fivem?

Its an old game, GTA5 run well enough on 6800 CPUs, and this is a 7840HS processor. So you can get 60 FPS on higher settings with no issues. I havent tried Fivern mod so no idea, but its probably not much extra strain on the GPU etc.

Minisforum advertises a bit better upgrade potential: 【Expandable Storage】 The Mini Gaming PC has Two DDR5 SODIMM Slots, each of the slots can be upgraded to 48GB total 96GB. It is also equipped with two PCIe4.0 SSD slots, each of them can be upgraded to 8TB (if you don't use one for the Occulink).

Yeah we mention the slot and that it can be used as optional Oculink port.

Its a junk system people. I bought it 2 days ago and after spending a long time time of updating it and installing my stuff to notice the unit that I have has power delivery issue. Even after updating the bios to the latest 1.05 and trying anything there was simply no fix as it seems its a hardware issue.The unit will not power-up simply after each shutdown and needs to be unplugged and re-plugged to get it to turn on. had to send it back. These um780xtx just like many other minisforum mini-pcs are problematic junks. By the way this is not the only unit I had issue with? I also have a um690 and that one had faulty bluetooth.

We have only been selling these for the past few weeks. I have checked with our customer service and we have not had any reports of this or a similar issue that you mention. It may be an issue with your device specifically. If you did purchase it from us, please get in contact ([e-mail]) and we can look into the issue further and provide a replacement.

@@DroiX_Store I bought it from amazon. so I returned it to them and also emailed minisforum about it. Waiting for their response. Amazon only offers return refund and no replacement.

Thanks for your reply. We generally have few issues with Minisforum products and not many returns back to us. Not every product is 100% perfect, but if one of our customers do have an issue we are very happy to get it returned, inspected and if there is an issue replace it.
