A borrower being the minority in a contractual agreement with the bank has no less legal rights than the banks. a contract is a binding agreement , the size of each party is irrelevant in the context of that legal agreement. FYI pakeha were the minority as the time of te Tiriti.

However, the establishment of government, changed things. Maori were relegated to a lower Class to be taken advantage of, punished to learn english, when the early settlers broke their necks to learn Te Reo when they arrived. The early english came here to escape their own Class system, only to bring it here. How things changed. Te Tiriti O Waitangi is not related to banks. Its not about money. Nga mihi

I do say his response is within party lines. as a Maori do I accept this,Kao but at least he made his position known. I know he was not elected into a Maori seat, so It is obvious that he believes in a National Government, so don't expect he will address Maori issues adequately.
