Ministers Terry Beech and Harjit Sajjan on dental care, evacuation of Afghan Sikhs- June 27, 2024

At a news conference in Vancouver, Citizens’ Services Minister Terry Beech and Emergency Preparedness Minister Harjit Sajjan highlight the latest expansion of the Canadian Dental Care Plan, which will now cover children under the age of 18 and individuals with disabilities. They are joined by Dr. Andrea Esteves, dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia.
Sajjan faces questions about his decision as defence minister to relay information to the Canadian Armed Forces about rescuing Afghan Sikhs during the fall of Kabul in 2021.
