Anything Jourgensen touched between 84-90 was insane... Ministry, RevCo, Pailhead, PTP, etc. etc.

This song is excellent. Contrary to what a lot of folks believe, Ministry's musical evolution (from synth-pop band in the early '80s to aggro-electronic in the mid '80s to electronic-industrial by 1989/1990) makes a lot of sense. What really broke them out of the electronic mold was the permanent reintroduction of electric guitars into Al's oeuvre by 1989 and the fact that the guitars remained arguably front and center from there forward.

The lyrics are by Franke Nardiello who went on to found TKK so not in the literal sense. TKK concepts were in Franke's head, and ended up in these lyrics as well as TKK overall. However, it isn't that Franke and Marston heard this song and thought, 'that would make a cool band name.'

All true but lets not forget the influence of heroine! To be clear, "Big Al" was a hippie who auditioned for Frank "Groovie Mann" Nardello in the early 80's guitaring Jimmy Page licks. It really bothers me he does not want to take credit for "With Sympathy" and blames it on the record company. BS Al!! You changed/sold out - whatever several times! However, as an early high schooler in '83 the video "Revenge" was just what I needed, eventually leading me to the wonderful sounds of Industrial!

I am surprised Uncle Al didn't chose to add a bogus British accent to the lyrics.
