When you all do these tutorials I wish you mention the model and year of the Mini Coopers you are addressing. I have a 2012 Mini Countryman (R60) and this start/stop feature is not on my Mini.

I'm glad they made the shut off convenient. I've used it on many vehicles, I rent cars often. I find it unsafe. If I come to a stop and find a sudden opening in traffic just as the engine shuts off there's a dangerous hesitation and even less tan a tenth of a second is significant. For my driving, no thanks. I doubt it saves anything that matters. There's no long term data that can attest to anything saved other than some laboratory calculations. Cars are getting so complicated and this is just another unneeded and not requested option.

Good to know it remembers the last setting! I thought these systems were mandated to default back on “On” to satisfy manufacturer Economy and Emissions claimed figures.

I turned it off turned ignition off started it again n it didnt reconize that i tuned it off. I dont like how the car feels when it stops n than i accelerate from a stop when its on.

Yes same as i...maybe mini can do reverse this features...if press the button to activated this features not to deactivated it

So that’s why mine sometimes ease when I’m trying to go from a complete stop. It freaked me out when I was at a light and my light finally turned green and my mini was going super slow.

You don't, that's what ! Start stop saves fuel, but causes extra wear and puts stress on certain components having to replace them down the line, i.e. you save nothing.

Its driving me insane, all the dumb new things in vehicles now are over-designed, probably by bunch of nerds whom never tasted life. Why the hell would you have sports mode then energy saving mode at the same time? Its like having a bar inside a church.
