Something id very wrong when an older citizen has to be homeless after working many years and can’t afford a home. Just in it self. In Sweden we have poor older people who worked their whole life and have a hard time with the cost of food. And our country is not that poor. In Sweden we do not take care of older people as well as we should. We can afford weapons, immigrants but we do not take care of our older people who have less.

Rich or poor, no one should get government flood insurance. Mother nature has repeatedly demonstrated the stupidity of building in certain places. If you build there, it should be at your own risk.

My home insurance doubled this year....when i ask why....well cost of things are up and it would cost more to replace it? I hate insurance and taxes....thars how their going to take everything from the poor......people living in their cars because rent is too high 😒

My family fought me so much on getting a van, I got a teardrop trailer. That means though I can’t be stealthy. In a couple of years I’d love the van. Right now Soc Sec will hold 2 checks because I made too much! R u kidding me!!! I could lose everything. The rich are protected, not the reg people. It’s scary.

This seems to be partisan. There are a whole bunch of corporate tax breaks for insurance companies. I live on ss. I agree that I do not want to subsidize insurance in America. However, I live in Nor Cal and my renters insurance was dropped after the 2020 fires. So I don't get subsidized but the landlords do. Yes all of these details are true but they are part of an entire system designed to take as much taxpayer money as possible and funnel it to the heavily monetized 1%. There is corporate welfare in the form of excessive tax breaks and government contracts.. If everyone and every corporation paid 7 % across the board, no loopholes, the country would be out of debt. And we could then pay for healthcare for all and school lunches.
