Finding a local community is pretty important when considering starting a new game. i did look into Team Yankee, but most of the historical group played Flames of War. Still looking, but i'm not super hopeful and i have other games that are draining the wallet.

Same in my area. Flames of war is way more popular. Team Yankee is one of my favorite games when I get the rare opportunity to play.

The rules need an overhaul, minimum distances between tanks, and a lot of balance fixes. TBH I just look at the set up of the forces at the start of the game and know who is going to win.
