you forgot spiteful conjuration the lore attribute, dark riders have repeater crossbows not repeater handbows, the executioners are LD 9 and would have rallied at 40 mins, the channels at 33:48 would only be one skink due to one fleeing, at 46:30 the darkshard couldn't stand and shoot due to the kroxigor being too close, and I think the hydra would have re-rolled leadership at 58:30 for BSB.

the hydra has got ld 8 not 6! also its got a special rule similar to regen. check the army book! also some tips for the next list to luka: spearmen are shit actually for a couple of points extra u can take witches or fill up your core with dark riders (you should probably do both :D) and i'd always give them shields if possible and put the mage in. because of the messed up regen rules in 8th ed the hydra isn't that good this means u can play some warlocks for the points or if u want it fluffier CoK or more execs (cheap as chips for dark Elves). Getting rid of the hydras would also give u the possibility to play the Cauldron of Blood to cast frenzy on execs and give the Witches double frenzy and a 5+ ward. If you play core units other than witches or dark riders u should probably go for the corsairs due to the better armour saves. The dark shards are generally not worth it and their point costs are horrendous, bleak swords can't kill shit and spearmen are not strong enough for their point costs. but u don't have to get sad in the 9th age the spearmen are a valuable core choice again so they wouldn't have to rot in your basement if you follow my tips! This was not supposed to seem salty or something this was just supposed to be a well meant advice! glad to see dark elves again and it was really fun to watch thank you miniwargaming!!

Tip for dark elves from fellow payer, corsairs are way better than spears + 1 attack and + 1 armour for 2 pts more , lore of metal sorceress is brilliant , cold one knights are a good option as well , especially with malus darkblade in the unit

25:20 kroxigors also needed to take immediate panic test after taking 25% casualties, which would allow the 2nd reaper crossbow to fire at a different target if they flee.

You need some witches and the cauldron. if you bring them and a mage with okkam's mindrazor, there's nothing they can't kill. From experience, a high elf dragon, a block of white lions and and block of Spearman all charging in will just get evaporated.

21:20 - You're supposed to declare a redirect before you roll the dice to see how far you flee. The charging unit is not supposed to know how far they have to go to catch a fleeing enemy, it's supposed to be a gamble deciding to pursue or redirect. Keep it up guys I'm loving these battle reports even with the small errors you're making!

Saurus Unit would of had to roll double ones to rally due to be less then 25% even with the oldblood being in there

I like the video, and the fact that you're doing learning vids. Now, I'm by no means an expert in the rules, but at roughly 47 min, the Stand and Shoot can't be taken, because the Kroxxigors are too close (the opponent M or closer is too close :3 ) . That's just nitpicking and didn't really make a difference, but as it is a learning game, I thought I'd just point it out! I'm playing Dark Elves myself, and I have a REAL softspot for the Har Ganeth Executioners, and the Black Guard. I usually get 1 block of around 30 of one of them (depending on who I'm playing against. Often it's a friend of mine who plays the Empire with mostly Knights with a 1+ AS, so without doubt executioners :P ) But I just bought a HUGE amount of DE models (30 more Executioners and 30 more Witch Elves, so now I have 60 of each!) and gonna try to make a block of 30-40 Witch Elves in a horde, with a Cauldron of Blood right behind, with Hellebron in there as well, AND going Shadow Magic for Okkam's Mindrazor.... Which is 57x S8 attacks, with re-rolls To Hit, AND throws of 1 on To Wound, as well as 8-10 S10 attacks from Hellebron.... That'd wipe an entire swarm of Skaven/Zombies in 1 turn!! :P Can't wait to try it out!! I really digressed there, the point was: I love to see Dark Elves!! Keep'em coming!! :D

40 minutes in, wouldn't the Blackguards rally with the musician giving them +1 Ld for rallying? (BRB, 95) And you move through impassable terrain when fleeing, the models take dangerous terrain tests when they do. (BRB, 25)

Yes Murder Elves !!! whoot! ya dark elf magic is nothing to really lean on, Obviously this Dark elf army isn't even close to optimal. there are other ways to give them more backbone but they are always going to be "fragile" cold one knights are almost and auto take, I like witches in large numbers they hit like a blender on most units, but they have a glass jaw from firing so you have to use them carefully. but ya in true GW fashion you need more stuff LOL

Fun game! I haven't seen anything from age of sigmar in a while. I never cared much for it but would be interested in a single game that explains the new Matched Play point system if you guys have time for it. I'm curious to see how it works and if you guys like it. Would also love to see at least one game where you guys try out the 9th age, since I tried it I'm having a hard time going back. Below are a few mistakes I noticed, ignore them if they were already reported. - Can't stand and shoot when inside the movement value of the charging unit (9 for the horses). This would probably have made the charge on the salamander a lot better. You did the same mistake with the Kroxigor charging the crossbows from an inch away after they had rallied :) - After winning the first round of battle in the big melee, the dark elves unit could have performed a battle reform to regain ranks and free some space for the second hydra to charge in. - When the bolt thrower fired on the Skins and Salamader which had moved behind the unit, you calculated against the toughness of the salamander and then rolled to allocate the wound which lander on the skink crew.

It has been a long time, but back in the day, Cold One Knights with Chariot support was the way to go for a hard-hitting front line charge. Corsairs were by far the most superior infantry choice. Multiple Reaver units for flank support one combat was engaged or to stop enemy units marching to allow the bolt throwers to whittle down the enemy. The rules have changed so much since I played I have no idea if this works any more.

I don't remember what minute it was, but back when you were charging with your kroxigors and he elected to stand and shoot, he would not have been able to do this. The rule states that you have to be farther away then your move characteristic in order for him to stand and shoot.

The scar vet should have rallied on a double 1, which means that he probably should have fled off the table, and there would have been a hydra on the salamander as well as one in the skinks.

also for magic, Dark Magic isn't great outside of magic heavy lists. Life or Shadows is typically the better choice for a single sorceress

That elven units of lancers, what is the point of having it 10 frontline? you have 3 ranks with a 5 wide, and you could fit the hydras in the sides and deny the steadfast from turn 1, or at least put your sorcerer away from the combat Also, plz someone shoot at the big fat frog xD is like 300 points there alone, magic missiles or something.

Eric Cartman this particular space toad is ethereal, so conventional weaponry can't harm it. and it had magic resistance 2. Combined with a slanns natural 4+ ward it gets a 2+ save vs spell wounds. So casting magic at it is going to almost definitely be wasted magic dice.

I know this is an old comment but they don’t have Regeneration anymore, I play dark elves and in 8th edition the regeneration ability was replaced with a special rule called “....another takes its place”

Around 11:45 you used the Cube of Darkness, but forgot to roll for it, it only works on a 2+.

Okay, this is a pretty obscure rule, but at 22:19 I am pretty sure that all of the charging units would have gone in. On page 23 it says that the "charge moves of the charging units must be made as far as possible to equalize the number of models fighting from each charging unit. Remember, however, that your primary goal is always to maximize the number of models fighting." Then, on page 20, it says that "a charging unit can move an unlimited amount". This means that you would move both hydras to one flank, and then fit the sword elves onto the other flank, so that one hydra crossed in front of the sword elves.

At 36:27, those crossbow elves were steadfast with one rank to none. If they were within 12 of the general they would have held. I can't tell though, it looks like they were probably out, just thought it was worth mentioning.

In the combat at 38:06, the elves would have had it looks like 2 more attacks, because the 4th rank could fight due to them being spears that did not charge.

At 45:11, you allocated wounds incorrectly. That method was correct for shooting, but a thunderstomp is not a shooting attack. Luka would have had to decide if he was stomping the unit or the character, and all hits would have been resolved against the unit or the character. The attack could not have hit both. Pages 99 and 76.
