can i just say this 3v1 game is one of the funniest things i have seen. hope you do similar themed missions for other holidays. Perhaps something like orks taking over the north pole because they confused santas workers with goblins.

Could you do a mini narrative campaign were you have to stay in a house for let's say 10 turns with 100 zombies attacking you can with a zombie boss at the end and maybe more then 75 points of units

We played a similar game at my store. We where allowed 1 150pt HQ. I had a DE Archon with Agonizer, and some other stuff. We had to go around the board and collect 6 tires to put on an Ork truck to get out. Very fun game

FYI Matt, Ynnead is the Eldar God of Death that's supposed to awaken when enough Eldar souls are gathered in the infinity circuits. The Eldar believe Ynnead will fight off Slaanesh and deliver their race, just like the Imperium believes in the Emprah.

Should have rolled order at the end. If Steve and/or Dave had gone first, they could have wiped out a squad of zombies and pulled Kris back 6". If that happened, Kris could have moved forward 6" and rolled a 1 (or 2?) for run and failed, allowing Zombie Lord to charge in. (Steve only had to go before Kris and kill 1 zombie... It was possible) I demand a rematch! It was too funny not to have another.

i played this with two of my friends, i was space marines, just went for slamanders with flamers and my friend was astra......yeah....spammed out conscripts with orders giving split fire or first rank,second rank was annoying, and the stupid overwatch -.- does anyone know how to make this at least a little bit more balance? (i know its supposed to be a friendly game but still?)

Playing necrons, I'd probably take a Tomb Spyder and a single scarab swarm base, or just a Tomb Spyder with a twin-linked particle beamer. Either that or some fun combination of lord/cryptek action

Spyders are monstrous, so that'd be illegal. Lords and crypteks are HQs, can't take those either. Scarab swarms are beasts, can't take those.

Teskmehu If you look at the codex PG90 at the top it says a royal court doesn't take up a Force Org slot meaning they aren't HQs they are just like drones for tau so you could take normal lords and any of the cryptek

Teskmehu Holy shit, a fanmade codex isn't balanced or fair towards certain armies? Play inquisition, get a battle priest or whatever, 10 acolytes w/o upgrades and a psyker. Psyker can psychic scream the zombie boss, the acolytes will mulch any zombies they come into contact with due to millions of attacks /w rerolls. That wasn't hard to break.

Played this last night with some friends, I took a pain boy and 3 'ard boys, one guy took two elder wraith units and a fire warrior, the other guy took 3 space marine death watch with various upgrades. We agreed in various ways we all won because we kept going to see who would all make it. The Eldar got in first, The marines took no causalities. and my Orks ended up killing the boss zombie and 9 units of zombies It was a lot of fun

This was awesome! So want to play a game of this. :) You guys should make a thanksgiving special rule set too, and a Christmas special rule set, something like the orks are having an orky Christmas, and you can have Santa Ork as he boss ork and grechin as Santa's elves, and then 12 nobs as his rain deer. Then you can have a bunch of players trying to steal the orky Christmas presents. :) As for Thanksgiving, I don't know, have something like defusing a Giant nuke Turkey, or maybe a Turkey titan vs a bunch of small elements. so i made a small adjustment for our game, it was a model rule. no more then 4 models per person and none could be HQ my friend rocking up with Deathwing knights and losing to the guy with 4 base Deathwatch was hillarious.

I actually know the guy who made these rules, and I played them with a large group at my FLGS; He actually based them on Left4Dead. The scenario is exponentially more fun as you add in more players.

I think the zombies should only move 1d6 ot 2d3 because they're really slow, whereas if they move 2d6,they can be much faster than the other units more than half of the time which is a bit unrealistic in my opinion.

I agree, I'm a Zombie lover and I prefer the slow walking zombies rather than the sprinting ones. It'd be cool if you have the option on choosing their movement speed and the size per a pack of zombies, so it can be either easy or hard for the players depending how they want to play.

Atomsk0192 ... Which is why you overwhelm the players with more zombies. Remember, a single zombie is no match against the players, but in sheer quantity, thats where they make up for their slow movement and terrible stats.

at the end the eldar could've actually lost. If the wolves and angels went first they could've killed a squad each and then blue-shelled the eldar player back, at which point they could've been overwhelmed by zombies.

I'd love it if they did this in my local GWS. I'd play with 5 Blood Angels Tactical marines, 4 bolters and a flamer, the Sarge has a melta bomb just for the extra 5 points. 75 points of zombie killing goodness!

Hmmm... An imperial guard veteran squad with a sergeant, three specialists with flamers and six veterans with shotguns I reckon :)

I think flamers count as special weapons, so I'm pretty sure you can only take two.

The codex states three veterans can be equipped with special weapons unless one is equipped with a heavy flamer, in which case only two can be thus equipped.

Epicurus78 The codex doesn't matter, the rules included say only two models can have "weapons other than the ones they come with by default" Personally I feel this is a little strict/silly, it would make acolytes almost useless, so I'd personally just go with "special weapons", especially considering shotties are free, right?

Ack, missed that rule, it would invalidate the setup indeed, not only with regard to flamers but also with shotguns. It certainly limits choices to the point that certain factions are pretty gimped.

Epicurus78 Yeah... I'd probably rule that that restriction would only count for weapons that have a restriction in itself. Obviously it was meant so you couldn't bring tons of guardsmen /w flamers or something and just overwatch everything to death before you even get to combat.
