The camera app does work. I just didn't work it into the video this time. I'll replay again next time when I can hook up the watt meter. I suspect its around 2 watts. Most of the RK3066 CPUs are around there.

The Odroid X2 looks cool but I don't know if its ready for prime time yet. I like the idea of a powerful CPU on an AMP though. They use phone CPUs so they don't take much power anyway.

Excellent video. I noticed the rom comes with the camera app. Do you know if a webcam would work if connected to it? Also, would you be able to do a reading on the watt consumption while the device is running?

Almost a year now with the neo x5 looking forward to the KitKat ROM install very soon. The new Air Mouse by minix really helps a lot.

Very good review. Do you think it's worth waiting for the 3188 chips to make their way to the AMP's for quad-core power? This device seems pretty great but the new Rockchips are already making their way (i.e. the MK908). Would love to see your review of the MK908 when it's out.

there are two different launchers. Its been deflated on the one made to use the remote. go to the app store and download home switcher. That's the easiest way to get back.

Unless you want to run Linux I wouldn't recommend the GK802. The Neo X5 is one of my favorite especially since they released a new kick ass ROM a few days ago.

I want it to surf the net, watch netflix, etc. I've also thought of going the route of turning my mytouch into a android mini pc. A friend of mine just bought a similar android device. But he had a problem, if he unplugged the power cable from the device, it reset it self. And he had to modify everything again, download everything again... Is it the same case with the minix neo x5?

On my tv, I use hdmi in but use the optical out from the tv not my blue ray player. I get better audio sync that way. I will do the same with the x5

all android devices have DLNA dude, so yes, this lil thing can be a server if you want it to be, or access one if you want etc etc...(( even my shitty 1ghz dual core phone is running server full of music so i can access it through my tv ))

will the MiniX Neo X5 work with a 3TB External HDD, will it read it and play movies more than 20GB with no lags, also for 40GB movie files?. this is often problems i get with this king of media players.

You can install XBMC and load yout .SRT subs! have another player that can do the same, the "MX PLAYER", that you can download direct from google play.

Does Flash work well on this? I want to buy one as a dedicated streaming device for streaming TV shows/movies over sites like 1channel.ch, etc and thusly need the browser to work for that. hey i got the x5 but am having trouble getting the url resolver to work for xbmc. i downloaded it from the site to the box but cant seem to find it... i get script error video plugin error when i trying to stream some shows.. any help?

I'm having some audio issues with some video files, mp4 and mkv files seem to get louder during action scenes and almost whisper quiet during any other scenes. I have a soundbar connected through an optical cable, is it the soundbar or the video files?

Bought my x5 a couple of weeks ago. Everyone says that wifi is good on this box. I disagree. Where I got 20+Mb on my laptop, I get like 0.5 on my X5 . If I place the X5 right next to the router I still get max half of my laptop. I had to use an old wifi router, set it up as brigde and connect with ethernet to get online. Only problem with that is that no wifi means no airplay. Other then that, sweet box.
