I have an older Endura 46lb bought in 2006, still works perfect. It came with a Weedless Wedge 2 prop, which is a way better prop. I hate that Minnkota now only sells them with the smaller power prop and you have to spend another $45 to upgrade to a WW2 prop.

Good tip on the shallow water tech, never knew that 👍, last week bought a 12 foot HDPE boat, I bought one of those Wally Mart batteries too , hope it lasts? , I have a 55 on the stern drive, and a 32lb for the front bought new as well , but ultimately, Im going to get 2 lithium batteries , becuase on these boats as Im seeing, wieght is a big factor, so i also better watch what I eat too 😂, more fish, and less bread. 🍞🐟

Thank you for the helpful video. I ended up buying the same boat and trolling motor. So far so good, except the fact that the trolling motor (mounted in the rear) vibrates pretty hard when in 4 and 5 and much more noticeable when going reverse. Have you noticed that? I am not sure if I bought a defective unit.
@bluecollaroutdoors5556
@bluecollaroutdoors5556 3 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome I hope these videos are helping. As far as vibration mine doesn’t do it in 4 really at all but 5 does but nothing that is crazy. In the reverse settings it does vibrate a lot but this is normal because the blades are spinning in a direction that causes more forced to be placed on the blades. I’ll try to make a quick video in the near future showing the vibration up close to see if this helps anyone.

I got an endura40# for $80 on clearance. It doesn’t say c2 but the box number is the same. Should be plenty for my canoe. This guy has a 55# on a little boat should be enough you don’t need a gas motor.

How do you set the motor when trailoring, straight up and down anf still mounted to transom/ I have been putin at an angle and seemed to have broken one of the tabs from maybe bouncing of trailor. should I leave it straight up and down position for less stress on tabs?

Hello! I am considering purchasing one of these for my small (10-12 ft) alumacraft boat and I want to know how many batteries I'll need. I'm looking at a 110 ah lead acid battery from Duracell and a Noco Genius charger. The most weight that it will carry is maybe 400 pounds. If you have any recommendations for the charger or number of batteries it would be much appreciated!

Have you considered a Solar panel for trickle charging the battery while you're not trolling? They seem to work well from what I've seen.

Matt, thanks for the idea, honestly I haven’t really needed additional charging yet as I usually spend upwards or 5 or 6 hours on the boat and the battery usually still has more than half charge. This is definitely an option that would be useful for the future If I plan on fishing more. Thanks for the idea I might use it for a future DIY vid. Thanks man

Hi, I thought that endura c2 is 12v motor, is there a versión of 24v ? Or is it compatible with 12v and 24v ? Also , what is the awg of cable? Thanks
@bluecollaroutdoors5556
@bluecollaroutdoors5556 3 жыл бұрын
Fernando, thanks for your questions, yes this trolling motor is a 12volt motor, in the video I am referring to the actual physical size of the battery, and in this case it is a 24 group size battery which is about the same size as a car battery. This battery is a deep cycle marine battery which means it is designed to be recharged on a frequent basis and it will not damage the battery. The extension cable is an 8 gauge wire, and it works great even though Minn Kota recommends a 6 gauge cable if you are extending the cable that far of a distance. I have had zero issues with the cable. As far as it being compatible with 24 volt I don’t believe so, but the do sell saltwater versions that are 24 volt. I hope this helps.
@diydsolar
@diydsolar 3 жыл бұрын

Dang, hopefully the noise settles out or look into exchanging it, you might also check under the prop which is super easy to remove to check for pieces of packaging that might have found its way into that area. Yea they do work pretty well at moving the boats along. Thanks for commenting!

Mine is pretty quiet in the lower speed (1, 2, and 3), but in 4, 5 and especially in reverse, it shakes pretty hard enough that the whole 12' boat vibrates.

@@grimlocked2524 glad to hear that you are doing this setup, it is really easy to do. I noticed you said you got the 5 foot extension cable.
