Hello. This is my 1st time changing my control board. Is the shrink wrap hard to remove?

Yes it is a bit of a pain but definitely do-able with a sharp razor knife. Good luck.

I feel like this is the issue on ours… speed seems goofy but at times it’ll be working and just cut out until you power off and on again… strange thing is it only seems to mess up in water.

What’s strange is when I search for the board using serial number of trolling motor the only options it gives me to pick is the motor with auto pilot… it does have auto pilot but we installed the aftermarket kit

Yes it sure does. The minn kota site is pretty straight forward. That's where I got mine from.
