and now you know why people install a mounting plate instead of direct mounting. The mounting plate is not just about theft....you can take the motor off easily to service, store for the winter, or like me, so my duck blind will fit.....but getting back to the mounting plate, it assists with awkward mounting locations on the bow and gives a clean look.

I didn't consider one at the time, but now that some of the lakes that have been lowered I'm noticing the cover plate bumping my trailer crank and it would have been nice to stow the motor back when launching . This will likely be the last trolling motor on this 32 year old girl.. Thanks for watching! I've subscribed to your channel, Good Stuff!

I just put one on my lowe stinger 175. I noticed your bracket overhangs where the roller for the trailer is. Did you have any issues whacking that bracket loading and offloading? I havent had a chance to get her out yet

I've had it happen once on a shallow ramp offloading. Put the trailer in a little deeper on the load and no problem. Other than that one time no issues. Thanks for watching!
