Very nice MINNEAPOLIS MOLINE tractors. My grandpa’s neighbor had MM tractors. Other neighbors had Case, IH, Ford & Allis Chalmers but no Olivers or John Deeres close to him. He lived in southern Renville Co. Mn. near the Minnesota river in Flora township from 1906 to 1978.

In the late 1940s, my family converted our field tractors to butane. Very cheap fuel back then and in south Texas we didn't have to worry about using propane. In 1951, I started driving the tractors. I was 10 years old. They put me on the Ford to begin with, then moved me up to the John Deere B. I wasn't big enough to engage that hand clutch with my hand, so I used my foot to engage it, then hooked it with the top of my foot to disengage. Worked pretty well. I probably should have stayed on the farm, but instead developed a love for airplanes.

I've seen one of those 'power units' in operation back in the early 1970's. It was mounted on a skid though, no wheeled undercarriage and was hooked up to a 'small' screening plant. I was noticing how uncluttered some of those engines are , on one side, at least.

Hello Toby... those Twin Cities, “scarlet and Grey” tractors are awesome looking. I have been watching a lot of your repair and restoration vids, along with the weed pulling shows. Very nice. Entertained and learn something.

Good day Nice video. A small garage sold MM. What is newer Jet star or 445. I thought they were very nice. Thanks for now
@kolilagephart37665 жыл бұрын
Getting older takes away fondness for 445's . The low foot platforms make it hard to get on and off and my gut says it needs tilt steering wheel. So when you get your jet star 3 its much nicer.

The narrator is mentioning “deep lugs.” Really they are rice tires.
