@@VOCARITZ The disappearance of Hatsune Miku and Akita Neru were litterally born from the community coping from Miku being shadowbanned The former is one of the 1st song that pushed the limit of what vocaloid singing could do from this event, while the latter is a fan character made in direct response to the community malding in social networks, telling it to calm down and "put it to rest" Ironically, I believe this event actually was a good fuel to get Miku trending and to get her to stick out from other vocaloids 2nd irony is that, now, Akita Neru IS the one dissappearing from modern vocaloid community because she's becoming very old despite being an officially recognized character Please, remember the yellow one! She's a fan vocaloid but she's basically OUR vocaloid ;v;

I might be wrong, but from what I remember, LEON, LOLA, Miriam, MEIKO, KAITO, Big Al, and Sweet Ann were all in development at the same time by YAMAHA (of course, Big Al and Sweet Ann would be delayed until Vocaloid2).
@remuremu3994 ай бұрын
They didn't. Kaito and Meiko (originally codenamed "Taro" and "Hanako" respectively) along with Leon and Lola were originally developed for "Daisy" (this was the name for the program before Yamaha decided on "Vocaloid") during the same general time frame. Leon and Lola were both officially released on January 15, 2004, Meiko was released on November 5, 2004, and Kaito was released on February 14, 2006. From what I can gather, Lola and Leon were the only vocals to be showcased during the "Daisy Project" era, while K+M were showcased LATER when the project had already been renamed to "Vocaloid." Information on this era of Vocaloid is a bit scarce unfortunately, so I'm not entirely sure if Leon and Lola got their first showcase in 2002 or if it was in 2003. What I do know, however, is that M+K definitely didn't predate them. Also, just to clarify, by 2003 (the year the Logic System album came out), the program had already been renamed to Vocaloid.
@berry_cakeisgood4 ай бұрын
@@remuremu399I don’t know what word to use then? 🤨 I mean I know Meiko and Kaito were out in the public for purchase in 2004 and 2006 but technically they do predate Leon and Lola even if they were still development for their voices, idk this video doesn’t give the context behind the moments either
@remuremu3994 ай бұрын
@@berry_cakeisgood They don't predate them because they were all being developed during the same general time frame. Leon and Lola's first tech demos would have come out before or around the same time as the release of that Logic System album with M+K. The vocal concepts for an English and Japanese feminine voicebank (Lola and Meiko) + an English and Japanese masculine voicebank (Leon and Kaito) had been there since the inception of the Daisy Project.
