Alright, for everyone taking you test at Arden Hills, this is what you need to know. 1. Go extremely slow the entire time, don’t really ever go over 20 mph 2. Hands at 9-3 the entire time, only have your hands off the wheel if your turning or changing gears. 3. Be ready for the one ways. 4. Be ready to change lanes because you’ll have to a lot. 5. Always be TURNING YOUR HEAD almost everywhere, intersections and crosswalks. 6. Know your hill parking. 7. Practice your parking before the test because you won’t pass if you go in without practice, do more than you think you need. 8. Stay as relaxed as possible

I passed today at this location! I practiced all my parking the day before for only two hours. Make sure you are always looking around. They want you to turn your head constantly to look out for other cars. They’ll never tell you this, but as you’re turning, look over you shoulder to make sure no cars are coming. This is important because if you don’t do it, you’ll get points docked off. I did this constantly so that’s why I passed.

Just practice thats all you can do. I was extremely nervous when I took my driving test like a decade ago, but I aced it simply because I had driven so much before that. If you practice the small stuff like staying in your lane and braking will be like second nature then all you will be thinking about while driving is where you are going.

i passed here the other day with flying colors! the road tests are actually really easy. many people overthink it. you already know how to do everything, just have to focus! the only “tricky” part i’d say is when they make you turn onto or off of a one way. make sure you’re always in the first available lane, and for turning off of one, always be in the closest turn lane. for the 90 degree, which i was most scared, they actually give you a lot of room! you’re allowed to adjust if you need to. you won’t fail as long as you keep constantly looking into both mirrors and over your shoulder so you don’t hit the behind cone. the parallel is fine too. remember to just go slow and keep checking & checking as to not hit the cones. this is very embarrassing, but for some reason at the start of my test, i accidentally went into REVERSE and started driving backwards ( there was also a car behind me waiting in line )! and i also turned into the second lane ( when i should have turned into the first ) when turning into the oneway. though i did this, i did everything else great and he still passed my test with full certainty lol!! try to think of your examiner as just a friend giving you directions, because that’s all they are! focus, and just have fun!! it’s really easy! just lefts and rights and some cones here and there. it stresses students out wayyy more than it should. if you have any questions feel free to respond to this comment or dm me on insta @paige.dentler :)

So I just passed my first time at Arden!!!! Watching this video a couple times definitely helped. What I did good: -perfect parallel -good 90 backing -good speed (20-25mph) -good observation (looking when crossing intersections and lane changing) -use turn signals everywhere!! Even when turning out of parallel and 90 backing. What I messed up on: -try to make sure you stay in the unmarked lanes correctly. The roads all seem to have faded lines so even the yellow line separating traffic is hard to see. The roads are all 4 lane, so make sure you’re not driving in the center of the road. -when you turn into the one way road with the turning signs, make sure you turn into the FIRST lane of whatever side you come from. The second lane if there is a car parked in the first. You got it !! I was so nervous, but I still passed. I even watched a girl that went before me who failed parallel, like she couldn’t even get in, I don’t know how the rest went, but she passed too!! You don’t need to be perfect in everything to pass !

I Just Took my Test At Arden Hills & I Passed My First Try!!!! Best Advice I Can Give You Is Drive Normal & Dont Overthink Things💯. Never Forget Your Signals & Make Sure You Look over your shoulder everytime they tell you to Make turn or switch lanes.. Make sure you don’t make the same mistake she made by not keeping in on her far lane because you will FAIL automatically ‼️. Also Every Intersection you occurs make sure you Turn your head left ans right. EVERYTIME‼️‼️. ARDEN HILLS DMV IS MAINLY A OBSERVATION TEST. YOU HAVE TO BE AWARE AND TURN YOU HEAD EVERYTIME YOU ITS AN INTERSATION. I Repeat If you don’t YOU WILL FAIL. So if you be aware and make the correct turns and stay in the right lane along with being LOOKING OVER YOUR SHOULDER AND TURNING YOU HEAD. Then You Should PASS THAT EASY‼️. It don’t matter if you don’t know how to park because those points don’t cost You as much of being Aware‼️‼️🖤 #Goodluck

I know it might be messed up that she failed at the very end or over that left turn. However, look at it this way. He was walking her through the test so she could know what to do to pass the second time. Some road test examiners will fail you mid test by not even letting you go to the end. It would have been nice if the same kind examiner told her that she pass on the 2nd test. Im happy she ended up getting her license anyway. God Bless.

I just passed here today, and it was beyond easy. I actually got the examiner in the video, I won't say his name for privacy but he was very good and was very nice to me. It is good when they understand how nervous and stresses testers can be. Good tips for passing first time: Practice parallel parking and 90° back in, observe like hell, speed limit is 30, just do between 25 and 30 and you will do fine, and just stay calm and do not be nervous, the examiners won't trick you and want to see you pass.

Passed my test today here first try . shi I can say to much stress outta ma head Tips - y’all need to move yo heads 24/7 even when turning right from right - Know the mechanics of the pakings. U will do fine if u watched the videos how to 90° and parallel SIGNAL when getting out. and I’m sure y’all know how to uphill/downhill . For the uphill park I went over the curb to have enough space, I don’t think they care if u over the curb. - U and the examiner need to be in a positive vibe, so keep it 💯 - Signal every time u change lane and turn. - And lastly turn yo neck left/right, over the shoulder, every time in intersection - I think looking around is the most important thing to them then the parkings - The test wasn’t even that much long as the videos. Mine was like 8-10 min. It was super quick.

I just want to give my take on the course as I did it like 2 weeks ago. DON'T STRESS ABOUT IT. When I took this road test here it was pretty easy and I got the same instructor in this video. Very nice guy! The course was pretty similar or exact same route since I had the instructor in this video. Parallel parking and 90 degree parking I aced, I was driving a Sudan and I had pretty much big space to park. Although for 90 parking I had to correct myself. If you need to correct yourself in parking, do it! Make sure to slow down on any intersections and do exaggerated head turns. When changing lanes make sure to look at the mirrors and behind shoulders. When you do that left turn on that one way, make sure you turn into the 1st lane. If you're doing any turning, make sure to turn into the nearest lane or into the correct lane since the roads have 4 lanes. Two lanes per side. But honestly it's an easy test so don't freak out😁😁 I hit the curbs while trying to park near the curb and hill parking but I was still fine!

At 8:55, wasn’t she supposed to go in the left most lane though?
@andybrenengen94646 жыл бұрын
I think that was okay since the left most lane is sort of a parking lane.
@baddriversofnorthcentralpe14765 жыл бұрын
No offense but the instructor shouldn't have said the error during the test when she turned from the wrong turn lane. Violations should only be discussed at the end of the test. I failed my driving test the first time for 5 MPH over the speed limit and the second time was for failure to signal in advance. I passed my test on the third try. I guess the third time was a charm
@trickshotcentral16227 жыл бұрын
Are the roads she's driving on at 7:14 and then 7:20 ish two lanes or one lane wide? If it's two, shouldn't she turn from the rightest lane into the rightest lane?

Trick Shot Central One lane with parking. However you want to turn right from closer to the curb.

I just passed here yesterday!! I was so nervous my actual driving wasn’t so good. Very jerky. But I think what saved me was knowing the road rules. Always checking blind spots and mirrors before lane change or turning, looking at every intersection, and knowing what to do at every kind of intersection. My position was terrible on 90degree backing. But I did pass! Also the examiners are very rushed they are very busy.

Guys I took this test today. I don’t even know how I passed. My parallel parking was terrible. Also I screwed up a few other things. For something reason I wasn’t tested on 90 degree back turn so I got lucky. It’s easier to pass than you think. If you fail, no worries either

⚠️QUESTION⚠️ when he told her to turn right at the time 9:13 was she suppose to go into the inner lane? Instead of the outer lane(the lane she was in while Turning)? Or does it not matter? My parents are saying she should have went into the inner lane but idk. I need more people’s opinion so I won’t get it wrong bc they failed my sister for doing what the girl in the video did
@aperson51394 жыл бұрын
In this case, if you're in the left-right turn lane, you turn to the outside lane, and if you're in the right-right turn lane, you turn into the inside lane. As shown in the video, she turned into the correct lane. I hope this explains how the turns work.
@sylvievang31014 жыл бұрын
A Person oh no! I worded a couple things wrong. So in the video there are 2 right-turn lanes, and she was in the outer lane for the right turn, was she supposed to go into the lane closer to the curb and then turn? Bc she only moved over one lane, wasn’t she suppose to move over all the way to the end lane? That’s what I meant, it’s okay if you don’t get what I’m saying😂
@aperson51394 жыл бұрын
Sylvie Vang I think I understand what you’re trying to say. To be honest, it really doesn’t matter what lane you’re in for the turn. If you can make it to the right-right turn lane, then that’s good. But if you can’t make it, then the left-right turn lane would be the best option.

I just failed today and I have to say my instructor really overacted. At the intersection with the stoplights, I was supposed to take a left turn but I was already on the right lane coming in from a right hand turn on an unmarked two way onto a marked two way. However, two cars cut me off and were already on the left side lane from me, and on top of that a car pulls up behind me. So at that point I really couldn’t do anything or lane change because of the other traffic around me. If I did try to correct myself it would likely be illegal, dangerous, and could cause a crash taking a left turn from the right lane. So i was going to drive straight through instead and follow legal traffic laws when the light turned green. And instead she yells “WAIT! JUST WAIT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!???” she then tells me to make the left turn even though its illegal and makes me pull up to the curb and fails me... So yeah I’m not coming back to test at Arden Hills.....

If you guys want to know how to schedule for this test, call their number (do it MONThS before) or online. I called and they said the latest would be in JANUARY 2020... So I did risky and I did a walk in. You have to come very early, like if want guaranteed, come in the night before at the waiting line. I came in around 6 am. So please schedule months before your test or else your gonna have to be lucky and walk in hoping there's enough tickets to be available
