What the hell is going on in America. Send back these productive tax paying people but welcome in people who demand welfare free housing and hate our country
@AllforKJ5 жыл бұрын
This is just one example of how broken and messed up our immigration system and laws are. It’s really sad when Honorably people and families get caught in the crossfire with no good options available. There is absolutely no justifiable reasons why a highly productive and honorable family has been unable to get processed through an immigration system, especially for as many years as they have been applying and trying to gain acceptance and approval for legal citizenship. I will say that I am in strong support of Legal Immigration and not having open borders for just anyone who wants to come to America, but a broken system can’t be fixed overnight. We need to secure our borders so we can gain control of the current crisis we are facing, but at the same time (think outside of the box of our broken system) to be able to speed up the screening and processing of the immigrants who are already here. If they have entered into our society, they are honorable and productive, they should be processed through immediately. If you can’t tell something about a family, their character, integrity, and honest dealings after 20 years, I would think the problem is not with the family. The problem points to a lack of mental capacity and ability to be able to make the decision to accept or reject someone based on merit. A little common sense goes a long way if we could get those in control to demonstrate their ability to use it. But then; you have to have something before you can use it.

Kor Mulder obtained a temporary work visa for investors - known as an E-2 - and has continued to renew it as needed over the past two decades. The E-2 visa allows his dependents to remain in the United States until the age of 21. That time has now come. Kor Mulder's oldest son turned 21 last year and had to return to Holland; now, his younger son Kelsey will need to leave too when he turns 21 this summer. The two brothers have few memories of Holland and know the country only through occasional visits. "It's really cool for a week," Kesley Mulder said, "But I'd rather not live there." Satveer Chaudhary, a Minneapolis-based immigration attorney, said Kor Mulder's E-2 status carries limitations. "The Mulders," Chaudhary said, "are in a predicament." Kor Mulder can renew the E-2 as many times as he wants, but as long as he's under the E-2 umbrella, he cannot obtain a green card and his children have no protected status in the United States. "Some people think that should be different, and I might agree," Chaudhary said, "but the reality is, now, the best way the Mulders can be helped is looking at the current law." As an investor, Kor Mulder could potentially help his family obtain green cards - and then citizenship after five years -by upgrading his status to an "EB-5 visa." That visa carries certain requirements, however, including a 10-employee threshold that Mulder said is simply not feasible. He currently has only two part-time workers on the farm. "That's a giant step financially," Mulder said "copied from kare 11 news"

Thwarted how? did he violate the terms of the EB-5 investor program somehow? This story seems to be missing a big piece of the puzzle.

Sad, he deserves to stay, but the democrats have allowed everyone to come in this country illegally. Hope Trump can step in on this one.

Should have came legally.

I see alot of people commenting without researching the WHOLE story. Mulder came here on an E-2 Temporary visa in 2001, which allows his children to stay until they are 21. INSTEAD, of going through the process of actually becoming a US Citizens, he just kept renewing the TEMPORARY visa! He KNEW his kids would be deported when they turned 21, yet did nothing to prevent it. This isn't about immigration unfairly kicking out someone who deserves to stay.......it's about someone who didn't make the effort to ensure HIS KIDS became legal, so they could stay and he wouldn't have to sell the farm.

This whole story stinks of untold things. How has he built a far. Up so much without getting loans? You can’t get a loan as a non citizen.. soemthing is off and their not telling the whole side of things

Not fair that people can walk across our borders, and receive visa cards, free passage into the US, not have to take the shots, and they are not vetted, looking for free everything, while some hard working person, who was here legally, is kicked out of our country. We really are in End Time.

What was their reason for not allowing U.S. citizen? If it was in this video I missed it.

Sell the farm to your neighbor for a dollar. Go back to Holland and get your family together. They are the most important thing. Re-apply for citizenship, come back on a work Visa and work your farm. Good luck, God bless.

A dollar? Do you even know how much one dairy cow costs? You must be one of those city dwellers who have never seen any animal outside a family dog or cat. And immigration process is very difficult; this is not the Ellis island era.

One question i ask is has he applied for citizenship? You cant get temporary visa and assume you can stay forever. You have to apply for permanent status!!!
