To Coach Kill, thanks for everything you've done for the University of Minnesota! To NMSU, pray for this man's sustained health and stay patient...he coined the phrase "brick by brick" here, and he knows what he's doing to get your program to much greater success.

I’m sure Jerry was watching this game from the opposite sideline thinking “why the hell couldn’t I recruit these type of guys when I was here?” Hats off to Coach Kill. He helped build this Minnesota program brick by brick. We still love you Coach Kill

To be fair, when Kill was here, the facilities were among the poorest in the Big Ten, if not the poorest. He did well under those circumstances. Fleck certainly has done a job here, much of his 2019 success was from players recruited by Kill and Tracy Claeys. Plus the Gophers now have much better facilities than Kill ever had.

This man knows how to coach football. He's a winner and it's good to see that he's back in good health, but don't like seeing that Diet Coke.

NMSU is lucky to have Coach Kill. We are looking forward to this season and the future. I love the heart of these two players and some of the others I have seen. I have no doubt Justice Powers is going to shine this season!! WORK!!!

5:43 Jerry made some comments and took offense to PJ saying the culture needed to change. But, one thing is for certain about Kill, he took a program that needed to be torn down and built back up again after Tim Brewster. He succeeded at that. But, what Jerry will have a hard time admitting is that one of "his guys" Tracy Claeys looked like he could have ruined that momentum, even in his one year. The one undeniable fact is that Jerry Kill turned this program around and PJ has been able to continue to build on that foundation.

Not sure I would agree completely with that. Personally, Fleck drives me nuts. But, he absolutely deserves credit. The culture is very different now compared to when Jerry was there. And, I do think it is for the better. Kill took over a garbage program and started the turn around. Fleck has built on that and made it his own.

@Slade Western There was a sexual assault scandal right before PJ took over, soooo yeah PJ needed to positevely change the culture. Also, Claeys left the cupboard bare and if he didn't get fired you would've seen possibly the worst Big Ten offense in a long time that year with "Kills guys".
