First of all, thank you for your quick response to the beautiful cover. Dan was one of the singers in the band Orion's Reign in 2016-2017. Minniva and other artists appeared as guest singers. That's how they knew each other. Of course, it was primarily about Minniva's musical return. I'm sure if it had been Dan he would have sung differently, much more powerfully. He is a gentleman through and through.

Thank you for the reaction. I really liked the typo on the video - Beauty and the Best. I believe Kirk is with Orion's Reign (Dan did a stint as their vocalist). I'm still trying to get used to Minniva as a blonde. And yes, Dan did this song on his channel with Alina Lesnik.

Their voices are beyond beautiful The music was so loud that you could hardly even hear their voices! It's obvious that Dan did not do this one because he knows what he's doing when producing and would not have the music overpower them

Dan and Minniva have performed together when they both were with the band Orion's Reign many years ago. She is very talented also. Thanks for reacting to this. Although we love his metal magic, we can also enjoy this side of Dan's vocal ability, too. Can't wait for the next one. I hope next week you will be watching his newest one with the rest of us.

Dan Vasc and Minniva covering this song is really a real treat. They sang it so beautifuly and flawlessly and their voices matched perfectly .The harmonies and piano played by Kirk,Orion's Reign guy, were absolutely incredible. Heavenly performance. Quentin Cornet/Dan Vasconcelos) ", where Dan Vasconcelos is Dan Vasc, and Sabaton - Night Witches (Cover by Minniva feat. Quentin Cornet/Dan Vasc/Garrett Peters). Minniva is a metal singer with a strong and beautiful voice. She did great metal covers in the past, and she has announced, that this year, she will release a new song every month. Please try her "Full Moon" Sonata Arctica cover, it is awesome! By the way, I've been thinking a lot about how to describe Dan's vocals in "Beauty and the Beast". You said "eloquent," and yes, that's exactly it. He is aware of the power in his voice but stays grounded to not overshadow others when he's featured on other channels.

Great reaction! Thank you! Minniva (pronounced Min-ee-va) was in the band Orion's Reign. She still may be, not sure. But Dan was in that band too, for awhile. They have two Christmas songs with them singing. She had dark hair then. Sometime if you haven't seen it, check out Dan and Violet Orlandi singing Patience by Guns N Roses. It's on Violets page. Nice! Next Christmas you'll have to check out their silly but bouncy and charming Christmas songs with Orion's Reign, Jingle Bells and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. It's worth it just to hear Dan Vasc singing "rooty-toot-toot and rummy-tun-tum." 😊 Thanks for checking this new one out! The one from 6 years ago (with Alina Lesnick) is also good, and even more traditional. Two suggestions for the future, perhaps more in your preferred style: 10 Power Metal Songs in 6 Minutes (Dan doing Dan things); and an Avantasia cover with Rob Lundgren of Reach out for the Light - both singing high, both singing loud, and both showing off! It's great.

This song is Minniva's triumphant return to KZbin after a very long break playing live with her band. She left KZbin for a long time due to a severe case of burnout. She has a tremendous backlog that needs to be checked out. I have no single recommendation as it is ALL amazing.

Thank you for your reaction ..eloquent ... you nailed it! Minniva does an intro on her channel and explains the links between herself, Dan, Kirk from Orion's Reign and her absence. This was recorded 2 years ago. This is a stunningly beautiful arrangement of the iconic song and Dan and Minniva compliment each other vocally, visually and emotionally embracing the lyrics. I rewatched Dan's duet with Alina , from 6 years ago, before watching this rendition. Alina's vocals were ethereal and Dan's vocals were what we expect of Dan but personally I felt that rendition lacked the substance and emotional intuition for the lyrics of Dan and Minniva's version. Of course Dan's voice has matured and gathered more power and it is obvious that he and Minniva have collaborated previously with Orion's Reign and are comfortable with each other even though it was likely recorded in seperate countries. A stylish and magical cover.

I'm writing this before I hear your commentary, because I want to see how we match up in that regard. - - - - - - - - - - To begin with, Minniva says this was filmed two years ago, apparently just before she had her "breakdown," which she calls a huge case of "burnout." Once she was (just recently) ready to get back into the spotlight (my wording--not hers), she says that the first thing she did was decide that this video needed to be completed, so...that's what she did. I LOVE IT! I also love Dan's six-year-old video done with Alina Lesnick, which you can find at... kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3mZaYFno62SqNksi=q1A5D1gHSifVwMx1 In THAT one, you'll see Dan as a different personality type in his role as the Beast. It's lovely and fantastic, all the way around, with both singers at the top of their abilities, musically...just yummy! In THIS one, personally, I think it's much more like the story itself has unfolded (to my mind). At the point where this song comes in, the Beast has already showed off his fierceness, and the Beauty has (though she's been scared) had the insight into what has caused that fierceness, and she offers her friendship and understanding, that then blossoms. When Dan comes in, in this version, his face (which only ever shows what he WANTS it to show) is tentative, and so is his voice (which, again, only ever tells what he WANTS it to tell...Dan is a TRUE BARD), so we get to see the somewhat repentant heart of the Beast, himself, as they wind together the tale from both viewpoints. By the time they get to the end of the presentation, you can sense the true attraction and the resolution to make things "work." Also, there's something very interesting that happens in my head when I listen to the two voices blending together so utterly beautifully. This is because we are all used to hearing Dan harmonize either with just himself, or with himself AND another artist. In this video, though, Dan (up until the very end) doesn't just jump into the lead and become the melody. Instead, Minniva has that role, and Dan sings the harmonies perfectly. Then, when the end of the video is near, they BOTH actually begin to improvise a bit, and show their confidence in that very fact. There again, I feel that this makes the song quite true to the actual story that I knew LONG before I ever saw it on screen. Again...I LOVE IT. - - - - - - - - - - OK...now I'm going to watch your reaction. - - - - - - - - - - SO!!! Yeah! I think we matched up pretty well on that take! I haven't looked down through the comments yet, so I don't know if anyone else has given you the other version, but I'll leave in that information. As to how to see other things by Minniva, I think it's just to go to her own Official channel, where this video came from. Before, she was officially tied to Orion's Reign, which Dan was at one point, also. I haven't seen much of either of them in those roles, except for their Christmas offerings that year, which I didn't see until this PAST Christmas. The ones I did see were a lot of fun, but as I watched them, I felt like I more fully understood what I had heard Dan say about that time in his life, and that he finally decided he just needed to get back to what he himself wanted to produce. Anyway...I always love your reactions, and your respect for the artists. I'm glad I wrote what I felt, first, because I was VERY curious about what you would have to say. Thank you! 😀

Hello grandmas got grace, I read your long comment, very interesting. I already made 2 comments above if you would like to read them. I've only been trapped in the rabbit hole since October 2023 and am fascinated by Dan. His vocal range is fantastic. I get the impression that Dan wasn't necessarily happy at Orion's. Didn't see the Christmas songs until Viking Reacts Nah....Dan doesn't come across well. Dan can't show his class on the SABATON cover at Minniva either. It was certainly a learning experience and to then decide for yourself, I'm going to do what I like and not what others want, shows his inner strength. In far too short a time (since I'm Dan's fan) I can't process everything. Sorry, not everything is translated correctly. Use an app because I only had school English over 40 years ago. It's already evening for me, so I wish you an epic day.

I think your translations are good! A lot of time, people posting will just do it in their own languages. I always put up a tab for Google Translate. Then I can post replies. I try to get as accurate as I can, by going back and forth between the two languages, until I've changed my English words enough that they say what I want in the other language and then translate back to me in the same words I used. Sometimes that takes a few tries. 😀 I believe you are right about Dan feeling pretty trapped while working with Orion's Reign. I've seen the same kind of thing happen to him when he has guested with OTHER bands. The featured singers will sound just fine, but as soon as they introduce Dan and right after he STARTS singing, the mic level gets turned down several notches, and the cameraman suddenly is clumsy and can't seem to focus correctly...stuff like that. I'm sure the original artists don't plan it that way. It's just that the people doing the presenting don't particularly like that Dan might take away from the featured musicians. I'm sure that has to be VERY frustrating to guesting singers and musicians (it doesn't just happen to Dan).

I just searched and found it. On the SABATON cover of Night Witches, Minniva is the main singer and I think Dan is just a co-vocalist. He gets a really small singing part and is drowned out by the music. I didn't like this one. I'd rather listen to Dan alone, where he can do his own thing as he wants.
