I bought an SR-7 from a flea market in perfect working condition, and afterwards learned that my late father also shot on a Minolta, notably taking it on a trip to America in the 90's. Turned out his friend still had it stored away and he gave it back to me earlier this year, and it is an XG-M. It's a wonderful camera and I'm glad to see this video from you! I also find it very amusing that you mentioned the lack of all-metal construction; I think this is why this camera weighs nearly half of what the SR-7 does. Greetings from Poland, take care!

Very informative video. Great camera. Bought this camera in 1983 and still have it and it’s still working perfectly.

I have the XG-M (also the X-300 and the srt 202), the shutter on the M needs a really firm stroke of the wind on lever to set it correctly otherwise the second curtain lags or remains open.

Interesting point brought up about if the cameras on your Etsy site are not on your website to advise you. Good to know as I had looked before at your website and not seen a camera I wanted from you. Good review of the Minolta.

It's a simple fix, it has two capacitors that tend to fail, check them and it's golden

Hi any clues if ago not working or only working in manual etc, I note you say that it’s one of the easier to dismantle, great video again. Regards David
