I'm 65 and I'm still like a kid in a candy store when I see or hear a good jazz cat play and also explain like you do. Very instructive and stimulating.

Nothing wrong with being a theory rat. Unfortunately when people listen to music it's about the emotion, feeling and the overall impact it has on them...not whether you played the locrian mode over the changes. That notwithstanding, from an intellectual perspective it is good to know what you are playing. Thank you for watching.
