We’ve to my recollection left with practically no qualms. The only issue is when the establishment is packed to the brim with people to feed. My advice to any future new comers is when you drive up and see 20 plus cars parked outside you’d better anticipate a reasonable delay for your food. I’ll mention I haven’t been sinse the pandemic, but we’d rarely eat out there in general. That’s just my anecdotal experience fellas. Now if you have had a less than cordial experience there that’d be unfortunate. I hope whatever your circumstance that it can be or was rectified. there is actually a difference between camp soap and regular soap - camp soap is supposed to be better for the environment. You gotta dump out your soapy water onto the ground after washing your dishes so whatever soap you use is gonna get into the ground as well, and I guess regular soap is bad for the plants or something.
@dan-gy4vu2 жыл бұрын
It is probably to avoid algal blooming maybe? Because those soapy water can seep through the soil and into rivers. The soapy water can literally kill an entire lake ecosystem. But I dont know what is in a campers soap that stops algal blooming. And if it does, then why dont we all just use camper soap???
@brendanpeck61212 жыл бұрын
@@dan-gy4vu Yes soap can cause algal blooms. Soap contains phosphorus. When the soap breaks down, the phosphorus can become available to algae. I loved the decorations and there were always cool toys. It felt like a magical place especially since ToysRUs closed by that point. I was a little outdoorsy, but not enough that I felt like I needed a skeet shooting vest or 3 pairs of camo duck hunting jackets. Plus, Bass Pro now sells some "working man" type gear. I can see how it would be related to white as they come crowd, but I never really noticed it in a "dangerous" way, just a different crowd. Granted, I'm also incredibly naïve and didn't realize gas stations were a dangerous place until several months after owning a car and pumping my own gas (worst of all, someone else had to explain it to me), so I sort of live in a Disneyland in my own head anyway

@krazytim90502 жыл бұрын
I see the confusion. The bear spray isn't for bears, that's what they have to call it for legal reasons. It's for when a mormon is cycling directly at you at speeds greater than what you can reasonably outrun and evade them at. Usually 30 mph+. This is a rare scenario, but with the 40-foot range of the spray you should be able to hit a mormon in the eyes before they reach you at least 95% of the time, unless they're riding a Schwinn, but even in that case it should slow them down enough for you to then be able to outmaneuver them and give you a fighting chance.

Re: Bear Spray - Yes, the 'normal' reaction to a charging bear is to turn and run. This is normal, this is a natural instinct. So natural that Everybody has it. Everybody, INCLUDING People who buy Bear Spray. People buy Bear Spray anyway tho, because listening to this instinct will get you killed. A Grizzly bear in full rage mode has a top speed of 35mph, Usain Bolt has a top speed of 27mph. Even if the bear is totally chill, running could flip the 'ooh, must chase, must catch' switch in them or any other predatory animal. So realistically speaking your options if 'suddenly, a bear' are to use the bear spray (which have been proven to be more effective against bears than the stupid-huge revolvers Smith & Wesson has developed Specifically Against Bears) or run and die.

Some people in the comments are really acting like people get stoned if they aren't white as soon as they step foot in a bass pro shop. some people really taking this too seriously.

Camp soap is considerably different as its more or less biodegradable. Also if youre gonna have a self defense situation with a bear the least excitement id carry is a 30-06. Bear spray is great if it works

Fun fact. You can't out run a bear or climb a tree. You have the best chance of surviving if you use bear spray, or learning what to do if a brown bear or black bear is attacking.

Fun fact you can’t possibly outrun a bear so you have to use bear spray or SOMEHOW de-escalate the situation

She's mainly joking. It's a skit improvised. The commenters taking it seriously don't get the point of satire. It's such a shame.
