Isotretinoin i took that for 6 months for horrible Acne i was in my early 30s and had acne since 12 years old it definitely did the job and as long as I eat a healthy diet and exercise i only get the occasional pimple

I’ve started using the Sons Combination spray which has tretonoin, minoxidil and finasteride. What’s your thoughts on that solution? I only use half the amount suggested so that’s 0.05% finasteride and only on the front hairline. I have been wondering though if it’s ok to use it only on the front hairline or could this be bad for the rest of my hair to not use it all over, possibly putting the rest of the hair into a shedding phase if some minoxidil hits it on one application every now and then but not consistently?

Can i apply tretinoin 0.025 and topical minoxidil 5 % for 2 times per week and apply minixidil for the rest of the week? Would it be effective for non responder? Im taking Dutasteride 3 times a week and finasteride 0.5 mg for the rest of the week as well.

Great video! Oral minoxidil & finasteride unfortunately resulted in a large variety of side effects when I tried them. I've been using topical tretinoin (0.1%) coupled with 5% minoxidil for over half a year now and have seen promising results. The one downside is a bit of scalp dryness, so I have started alternating the tretinoin application to every other day with improved scalp moisture. Otherwise, the 2% ketoconazole shampoo x 2 / week (leave on for 5 min) has also had some benefits in terms of androgenic alopecia, which I've used as a topical alternative to finasteride. Cheers.

out of interest were does a hair transplant fall on your usefulness scale?

In my opinion it depends. The less you have to fix the better but i would even do it if it means i had to give away my full donor area. I will definitely have one because i lost quite a bit on the front to have my hairline back

Great question - I think it depends as well. I would say a hair transplant is actually most useful for patients who have lost a lot of hair - since medications are not as useful in these cases since they do not bring hair back from the dead.

Does oral Minoxidil increase circulation to the extremities?

This is possible since it decreases blood pressure - but at such low doses we use for hair loss - unlikely to a significant extent.
