Oh! Alice Faye is so lovely. Look at her beautiful eyes and soft wavy hair. It's easy to understand why many in my family and among my friends had a crush on this gorgeous woman. Her mellow voice is so appealing.. Not like all the screaming and screeching and non-stop (rap) talking you hear today.

I love those beautiful voices in Alice and the chorus. And those beautiful long dresses they wore. In these old films from the 1930s and 1940s, those beautiful voices and beautiful long dresses seemed to always go hand in hand together, you just didn't get one without the other

The elegance and style of the Hollywood movies, back then, is a joy to watch. You are so right, Alvex. . These movies have the full package of voice, looks and costume. I am particularly fond of the wonderful hats the women wore then. Spectacular fashion statements! There aren't many who come near to Alice when it comes to vocals. Fabulous voice.
