Does the rangefinder on your RF70 have vertical misalignment? I just received mine, and it is very difficult to focus because the rangefinder images can't fully coincide due to vertical misalignment.

This Instax Camera promises to be such well crafted and sophisticated. I always wondered for whatever reason Fujifilm didn’t offer a more professional camera body for their bestselling Instax lineup? And on top of everything it can sync with external flash. Well done MiNT!

Fujifilm makes more money on the film. At the same Fujifilm has such a heritage of making fantastic cameras. I guess that time has passed for the analogue ecosystem.

bigheadtaco It still seems hard to understand why they didn’t develop at least one Instax camera aiming for “full manual (flash) photographers” in addition to their already high-selling point-&-shoot line up. If I understand the predictions on MiNT’s blog right, this camera will be priced somewhere above 700 Euros which is perfectly fine considering the promising quality of the product, their R&D and the overall size of their company. On the other hand I suppose Fujifilm being a much bigger company could’ve produced a significant larger amount of camera units and therefore could’ve price a professional Instax camera around 350-500 Euros. Which in my eyes would’ve been a very much welcomed addition to the x-series line up and its fan base without cannibalizing neither its x-series profits nor its Instax point-&-shoot revenue. That being said I truly appreciate the effort MiNT put into the production of this nifty camera and wish them much success.

Saw one of these in the wild yesterday. I want one. I can't swing the price, but some of the sting would be taken off supporting someone who's out there trying to make machines like this. Total guess, but I imagine that's a fun company to work for.

I don't if there'll be a copy of the RF70 in NYC. For now I think there's a copy in Japan with Mijonju, a copy with me here in Vancouver, and the rest are in production in Hong Kong

You have to join the mailing list first and then MiNT will send you information. I don't know if the price has been set, but it won't be cheap. It's a custom build fully manual control Instax Wide camera. Even Fujifilm is unwilling to make something this specialized.

It's not Polaroid, it's Fujifilm Instax Wide film. Both are instant film products though :-)

Why is Mint making a camera utilizing Fujifilm Instax when we increasingly see Fuji discontinue certain film? I’d rather see Mint produce a camera supporting use of Polaroid Original film instead.

Fujifilm is discontinuing photographic roll and sheet film, not instant film. It’s a high profit division for Fujifilm.

bigheadtaco I did state ‘certain’ films. Regardless of film type, I fail to see the purpose of supporting a company who continues to kill off any ‘film’ type. At the end of the day - it’s all about maximizing profits for shareholders who may care less for passion in film.
