10:15 yeah, something I like about the P17 is that it separates slow from handheld shutter speeds

I might buy the v2 model. I hope Mint makes a success of the new Rollei.

Yes I’m hoping to pick up v2 of either the mint or the Pentax! Thanks for watching 😊🙏

MiNT isn't really known for updating their cameras after release. Their instant cameras have plenty of issues and they've never really been addressed. I'm hopeful their views changed because this camera is supposed to keep the company afloat with their massive investment into this

Great review and pics Matt! Side by side the other p&s it looks big and bulky. User experience doesn’t seem all the best either. Shutter speed & distance read out is a must for the viewfinder!

Thanks so much Gab! Yeah I’m keen to see if they will release another version in the future! Thanks for watching ☺️🙏

I 3D printed a filter adapter to fit a UV filter and a snap-on lens cap on my 35AF. Version 2 of the camera needs to include filter threads built into the lens.

Very cool! I don’t often shoot with filters so I forgot to mention that, nice work!

Great review and photos. I’m mostly happy with my copy so far. I didn’t have a nicer p&s and wanted one, so I invested in this Rollei. I would rather have it new with warranty vs getting used Contax or any other fancy p&s that who knows how to fix nowadays.

Thanks so much Marina, appreciate it! Yes the warranty is a big drawcard for this camera, plus I really loved using it. Just subscribed to your channel 😄

Nice shots, I really like the colors. I'd love to get my hands on a new film camera, but my budget is too tight at the moment. The Rollei 35AF seems like possibly the best alternative right now unless you have Leica money, and fewer and fewer people do in the current economy. As for film cameras on some kind of auto "letting" you shoot with very slow shutter speeds with no warning, that was also an issue in the 90's with some compact cameras as I recall it. Back then film and development was just so much more accessible and affordable, missed frames were less of an issue.

Thanks so much NP! Yeah it’s just a bit too expensive for me too, plus I should be selling stuff not buying. Looking forward to future cameras though!

I had my TC-1 fixed by Minolta Japan last year. I'd get a TC-1 any day of the week,!

Wow really! I heard they stopped fixing them, how did you arrange it?

No comparison in quality and built from the original predecessors and way over priced!
