I didn't know belts came that thick... that says a lot about the last technician to work on it. I've been fighting a TC-K666ES myself... a different kind of nightmare.

Hmm... Shame about the erase head. May I suggest looking for a DUAL C-828 deck as a donor, they are cheap decks. The left side erase head might be possible to fit in the 777.

@@hifirulezzz The 555 might be a bit too expensive for a donor, but it might be worth it. You can find a suitable head for the 555 later anyway. :)
