Worth it just to share the surprise of finding all those factory cases of NOS Virtual Boy and Gameboy games. 🤩👌 Heh, I was right, those clone consoles are from Columbus Circle... So was the Cotton reprint. That must have been an entire shelf of CC stuff. 🤔

22:46 Finally found the name of that Jaleco game, Metal Flame Psybuster, aka Metal Mech Man and Machine on the NES, a game I honestly never even heard of, nor really played. Might have seen a video or two on it on KZbin, but it doesn't really stick out, like some of Jaleco's other FC/NES games. Took a bit of searching just to find the artwork seen on this cart to actually find it's name. Made by Sculptured Software, of the SNES Mortal Kombat games fame.

I'm in shock that there was a game in the nes library you had never heard of before. 🤯 So after looking it up. It was actually a game I remember playing as a kid the mech is very robocop inspired😀✨️

Damn, looks like they dropped the prices on those Virtual Boy games since I was there at the second half of May. That Mario Clash was 7,500, T&E Golf was 3,300, and the other ones ranged between 2000-2500 each. Wonder how low they’ll go since it looks like they have a plethora of stock available and the sell through rate won’t be great since very little have the system to begin with. Every Surugaya I went to had a bunch of the games in stock so they definitely got access to a warehouse with hundreds if not thousands of copies inside and are now selling them off. Wish they found some cases of the really expensive Virtual Boy games like Virtual Lab and Virtual Bowling.

Soooo much dead stock was around. Pretty much all Virtual Boy games I've ordered in the past, on second hand websites/stores, turned out to be new when I received them.

Is there still any cheaper places for gameboy and older nintendo games around Tokyo anymore? The prices are crazy now, was wondering if there are still those under 1,000 yen pokemon cartridges anymore...

There are you just got to hunt around. Farther away from akihabara the better bookoffs are good but depends on location
