My wife and I have been married for almost 34 years now and I would never want to see her cry unless she’s crying out to God or because of the love I show her. Ephesians 5:25 Husbands love your wives even as Christ loves the church and gave himself for it🙏🏽

He wasn't "faithful"; he just didn't give in to his baser urges. he won the war (not acting on his lust) but the battle (to not have sex with her) raged on. I guess the age-old question of what is cheating/being unfaithful is still subjective.

@420JackieMoon: Can't say there were necessarily more people with morals back, say, 25+ years ago. Everyone defines for themselves what "moral" is. This song teaches a very valuable lesson about being faithful in relationships. We need to remember a lot of times the same way we get him/her is also how we will eventually lose them. I have a friend that's actually married and says he wants out and wants to be with me but I refuse to disrespect his wife or myself that way so I suggested they go to counseling together and fight for their marriage. I put myself in her shoes and decided I didn't want to be "that" woman.

Mint was/is in a league of their own. There was no one like them in the 90’s. (No one like them now honestly) They’re compared to NE, boys II men, Toni tone, etc... but the truth is, those were male groups. MC was a whole band out here. No need for back singers or hiring musicians. They had everything from day one. Solid

I love the band as well as the message because it is positive! Songs of today are so vulgar and pressure you to test the waters and cheat! This song was tastefully done which makes it a timeless classic! I also have to pay respect to my parents for teaching me what MUSIC is!
@thekingdombenefactor65814 жыл бұрын
This song is deep in so many levels! I'd like to point out and give kudos to the fact of he's seeing this situation 3 dimensionally! First he's seeing how giving into the temptation of the moment could affect him; (Lyric:"What Kind of Man would I be, if I lived unfaithfully?") He's questioning the content and quality of his character. He's dealing with thought that he has to be able to be ok with who he sees in the mirror. Second he's thinking about the young lady he's in the moment with and how giving in to the temptation might affect her although she may not see it because she's currently unhappy with her relationship! He endeavors to exercise the same level of care he has for himself for her. And encourages her to see how this would affect her character and how she'd feel about herself. (Lyric: "And what kind of girl would you be, if we did that same;) Thirdly: he thinks about how this would affect his girl. (Lyric:' cuase I don't want to see her cry, cause if we lay down tonight it wont justify throwing love asaide)
