Let me take you back to the magical year of 1998… I was a senior in high school, 18 years old. Unfortunately, I got caught with my friends’s mother (she was 36). There was some drama at my high school and within our group of friends. Let’s flash forward a year, time has healed most of these wounds, and the group of friends go to the movies and see American Pie. We are crying we’re laughing so hard… until the Finch and Stiffler’s mom scene. It got very quiet and they all turned almost in unison and looked at me.

Absolutely loved (and still do) this movie and the 'original' sequels. Being from Michigan, and graduating from HS around the same time as these movies came out...the local connection was important to us. We knew it wasn't actually 'filmed' here but we still took the connection to heart and it DID feel authentic for the Grand Rapids and Lake Michigan area (for part 2). My two sons are 'almost' old enough for this film, and I'm looking forward to sharing it with them too!

I think some people in this world need a reality check. American Pie was first and foremost a teenage comedy/drama that was meant to be taken that way. The film was released in 1999 which is hard to believe was 25 years ago, and for people who try to cancel it and want apologies for its content, I would tell them to relax and have some warm apple pie.

Born in 81, class of 99... my friends and I loved American Pie. It's so weird that it's been 25 years and like the movie, I still remember so many things clearly. One thing that isn't talked about, is how much 99's music you hear in the Soundtrack. Blink 182, Harvey Danger... the music is such a testament to the times also. America Pie wasn't just a movie. It was a testament to the culture at the time. It's crudeness, has always been crude and still is crude in nature. High School kids are loud, obnoxious, sexualized young adults, trying to figure things out and screwing it all up. My own adventures with friends were similar to American Pie. Sexcapades, trying to lose my virginity; with just as many mishaps. The social life of a Senior in High School. I think American Pie could be made today. Just give everyone cell phones to hold, throughout the movie and bam. 2024!

Actually Bill Murray had even more scenes, dialogue & sequences (as did many of the other actors) in Ghostbusters Frozen Empire (some of which can be glimpsed at in the trailer) but a lot of those scenes were unfortunately cut (to bring down the film's overall running time down from almost 3hrs to roughly a little under 2hrs) for the final theatrical version released in theaters....some of these (maybe even all - have to wait and see) deleted scenes/deleted sequences will be included in the upcoming standard & collectors editions DVD/Blu-Ray releases.

Anyone that hates this movie either had a boring or terrible experience growing up, or they take life WAY too seriously! This film was written in a way where each character was either a piece of ourselves growing up, or someone you knew. I thought this held true in the sequels as well. They captured that "best friends trying to figure out adulthood together" mixed with growing just a touch apart as life pushes forward but still holding each other close at heart

I grew up in the 80's & 90"s & this movie along with the other teen flicks help make my teen year memories more fun. But I feel the biggest teen movie then was Varsity Blues. Minty PLEASE DO VARSITY BLUES!!

My daughter always says in conversation with us “this one time” and myself and my mrs always follow up with “at band camp” and she’s never see the movie haha. It’s a classic and I love it.

Man, this one brought back the memories. I saw this in theatres when I was 18. Bought the VHS when it came out and bought the CD (Movie Soundtrack) when it realeased. I still have the CD.

This movie was just fantastic. Right movie, right time, right cast. The music, the humor, the atmosphere. This is a classic for sure!

Strange thing is, the band camp line was also referanced in an episode of Yugioh GX. The character Cyrus says "This one time, at duel camp."

One of the best franchises in cinematic history (excluding the spin offs). Harmless, outlandish fun, and totally relatable. At 46 years, these have still been my go-to's. Wedding is my personal favourite.

I loved this series, I even had a few of the other ones as well. But the American pie ones with the og cast were the best. I'd love to see a new one with all the og cast to see what they are upto now.

Definitely true!! Even those that have not seen the movie have quoted: “This one time at band camp…”, or “MILF” being chanted for years thereafter have cemented this movie as a blockbuster!!

The spinoffs were gold. Highly recommend. The first spin off “band camp” is the worse one. The naked mile is probably the best one beta house is a sequel to naked mile. I think they came out with a girl version on Netflix a few years ago that was ok

I think it was on the Late Show with David Letterman where Bruce Willis said he did the voice over for the pie. They showed the clip with Jim on top of the pie, and Bruce was screaming for help.

this is an iconic legend that never gets old...and you know, they had a director's cut recently for its anniversary. Everyone was worried because of the way things are, and it just slipped by quietly, and there is a new one coming next year apparently. Stiffler and his crew are now adults, marrried with children and they plan thier usual antics as they go for thier old reunion.

As this Movie was a Fake Raunchy comedy for some reason it hits home. And it’s even better now to go back and watch these films.

Stiffler was actually a fairly minor character in the original American Pie, hence it makes sense that he didn't make very much

Doing that with a pie works but it's best if you don't do it fresh out of the oven. Couldn't pee right for a couple of months.
