For sure. A good warm up is necessary before every training session. It can make or break your progress.

Ive seen you discuss on several of your videos Negative moves as beginner progression exercises, but you forget to mention they are also important for advanced users as well. When you are doing your more advanced moves and you reach that muscle failure and cant do any with good form, then you can still get work done and knock out a few more by just doing some more in the Negative form!

Yeah, negatives are a good progression for every move at every skill level. I’m currently using negatives for freestanding HSPUs.

Thanks for showing the form! I can't do a pull up to save my life, but I can do this! No progressions needed. I'll keep training for strength 💪 and maybe I'll get the muscle up this year

Thanks! Yeah, I’d say just about any upper body exercise has that risk, but this one especially because it’s so easy to round the shoulders forward. As you practice these, make sure you feel the muscles of the posterior deltoid and upper back are engaged to prevent rounding of the shoulders as much as possible.

my elbow pops the first time repetition. how wide should the grip be? elbows should be parallel to shoulders always? (im using shoulder width)

Is it safe? My bar assembly looks a lot like yours, but it feels like it is on the verge of tipping when I use it like this, especially if I just hang my legs down instead of putting them forward. I feel like I should anchor the assembly maybe

Hello again ..i am thinking of combining jumping jacks with the ladder set method to 500 reps ..what is your thought on that ...i would appreiciate your suggestion .thank you

That sounds like fun. To go up to 500 you’d do the ladder up to 23 or so and then come back down to 1? I’ve done something kinda similar and did burpees up to 100 with the ladder method. Just up to 10 and back down. Never tried jumping jacks though!

thx this was helpful! I just started doing these @ my house using a shelf, but I gotta keep my legs str8 or bent, will this cause imbalances or lessen the effectiveness of the workout?

Whenever I go down for negatives I can't seem to prevent my elbows from flaring out too much because of stabilization problems.

On rings you’ll want to work on RTO dips, which stands for Rings Turned Out. You want to supinate the forearms and externally rotate the shoulders as you reach the top of the dip. So basically, turn your arms so your palms face forward as you go up to the top of the dip. Great question!

I thought these were so easy until I realized I was doing half reps lmao.. also i notice when I can’t do any more muscle ups I’m failing at the top transition part and not the pulling power.. definitely gonna start working on these
