Most of these "Minute of Mae" segments are taken from their corresponding full episode and voiced over by her opinions regarding the firearm in question. She also films them separately from the in-studio portion of the full episode. Most of the time, all the shooting is done in one day of filming, although she has had episodes where she had to break up the shooting sequences due to technical issues. I recall her saying at one point that filming these shooting segments is quite tedious, as she has to remain more-or-less perfectly still during the filming process.

Not to say than many European officers, at that time, used semiautos in .32 ACP. A list of service cartridges in use at the time, and for decades after, of comparable caliber and power comprehends: 9mm Makarov (Soviet Union and satellite countries until present) 8mm Steyr (Austria-Hungary until the end of WWI) 9mm Steyr (Austria-Hungary until the end of WWI and Austria until 1938) 9mm Browning Long (adopted by a dozen armies and police forces, in service until the '80s with the Swedish Police) 9mm Ultra/Police (developed for WWII Luftwaffe, adopted by the Police of West Germany in the '70s)
