Depends if they are a good guy or bad guy air ship crew. Good guys would have top break Webley's and bad guys would have C-96's. Automatics aren't good guy weapons until you get to Colt .45's in diesel punk;).

According to Imdb, the pistol is referred to as a Begman 1911. But it is, in fact a customised mock-up based on a Walther P-38. I'm gonna have to go watch it now, just to see the bloody thing.

That movie is false propaganda. Plenty of Danish and Norwegain people supported Germany, because they protected us from the communists. I'm Swedish and many Swedes were volunteers against the communists in the Baltics and in the winter war supporting Finland and Mannerheim

If you thought the grip was odd shaped and crowded your hand up by the trigger,I probably couldn't shoot it! Looks cool though seemed to function nicely. I agree on the c96 vibes looks like a prototype! Cool! You keep shooting stuff I never could! Love that smile!

I believe this is the Bergmann that made an appearance in Big Jake (1971) with a funny quip by John Wayne when introduced. Cannot recall if it was Patrick Wayne, or Robert Mitchum's son who used it.

The C96 with stock attached sure was used like a standard carbine by the Chinese at the time. I’d take 10 rounds semi auto 7.63 Mauser over 5 rounds bolt action any time.

Where it made? Pieper - Lieja (Belgium) models made for Spain was quite weak and quickly Spanish military look for best option in Campo-Giro homeland production but the ammo remains in service in Spain for long time with the name 9 mm x 23 Largo...
