It's not that easy if they still lived with parents. One of my friends broke up with her boyfriend and she had no money and her family didn't like the idea of her coming back. She called police but they said that is not their problem. She was in shelter for a few days and I gave her some money but I'm just student and my parents can't take another person to our house. Now she is living with her sister and looking for job but she didn't finish high school and it's hard to find some job in that case. I study at university far away from her city so I can't help much even tho I would like to.

This is my story on how I helped a poor man with a child: I remember two days ago (24th December 2019) I went to my friend's birthday party, and we we're going somewhere where we could play virtual reality games, we went with the metro (subway). In Barcelona there are quite few homeless people so while we were in the train we saw a guy that was doing music inside of the train and before starting he said *"good morning everyone, I'm here to play some music becauase I need money to feed my 7 year old child"* no one wanted to listen and ignored him, me and my friend felt sad for him and we gave him 1 euro, I didn't have any money on me, I would've given him like 5 euros. Its sad how people ignore others, I'm still young and my parents don't let me go anywhere further than 500 meters. So when I grow up I'll help homeless people.

Relatable. I lost my job, my place, pretty much everything. I was homeless and I ended up becoming a truck driver. Now, I have a steady job and a place to sleep while saving up for the future.

My heart went out to her. Her friends were not right at all. They ought to be ashamed of themselves and hoped they sleep well tonight and beyond. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

My grandparents are the kind of people who would have asked you to move into their spare room and not taken no for an answer. I try to live up to their example and it saddens me a lot that not many people do. My grandpa died a few weeks ago and we expect over 150 people for his funeral. Most of them will be people who saw him as family because he was the one to help them back on their feet when they where down on their luck. His memory will go on and my home is open for those in need.

Ty for making this video. I spent several years being homeless. It was my choice, but for my safety, not for money. Because of where I was though, it was hard to find work. Now, years later, though I cant give money to help, very limited funds because on disability, I give my time to help. I volunteer at the soup kitchen one day a week, and run the shower ministry my church has for the homeless, once a month. All the church can offer is once a week, but without them offering it that way the only other option is the pool, at 5 bucks per use. I wish there had been that option when I was homeless. I know it is not much, but everyone seems thankful. Hope more will help out where needed.

I'm currently homeless in the Midwest. Northwest Ohio to be exact. I fly down to New Orleans on Tuesday. I'll be homeless down there too. I've been homeless on and off for the last 10 years, and I'll tell you what, everything she said about family and friends is true. It's a shame, honestly. You're in a constant battle within yourself to either give up or get up.
