Psalm 1 - Acoustic Version (Live in Jaffa)

Shortly after last October, when our world crashed down on us, Yaron was away studying in California, and Shai, Jamie, and good friend cellist Leat Sabbah embarked on a small tour around Israel, mainly among displaced families.
The songs in these concerts were adapted to the times - acoustic and intimate - hoping to find comfort in singing together. Yaron was incredibly missed! Still, we were able to find beauty in playing our songs in this more calm and contemplative format. This experience became the inspiration for our upcoming concert (this time with Yaron!!!), on August 6th in Tel aviv, consisting of new renditions of songs from our 3 albums. Shalom! Thank you for sharing. Just about everyone in Israel lost someone that day. When I heard and saw what happened on the 7th, I was numb and in shock that whole day. We were supposed to celebrate my son's 35th birthday along with Shimini Atzaretz. Nobody wanted to celebrate anything after we found out about what happened. The next day I was hurting for Israel so much. I thought I hurt bad when my husband died two years ago. Hurting for Israel was 100 times worse. Then the waterworks began and didn't stop (sort of) until a week had passed. The pain has lessened but not gone away. Tears still come whenever I hear about another death from Israel. We put our large Israel flag in our living room window where it can be seen from the street by all who pass by. It is somewhat busy as we live about two blocks from the old town center (within easy walking distance). We pray for Israel every day and for the return of ALL the hostages. Again, thank you for sharing this and Shalom. There are many people here who stand with Israel!

The project’s theme encapsulates rest, if I am not mistaken. Hence an intimate calming atmosphere for sharing the tunes sounds more like the Lord’s doing than any other source. Unity. Worship. Being still. Knowing God. Intimately being united with the psalms that shepherds might have versed in the calmness of a still or tumultuous night, alone before their Lord seems to reflect their purpose. All of these things above are what this entire world needs, for we are all combating some type of destructive force externally and internally, in my opinion. Lovely psalm.
