That PinePhone connection is slick. There should definitely be more true Linux-powered smartphones.

You are right the "Desktop Mode" of the PinePhone is more and more fluid. If you're interested, I just released a video on this subject on my other KZbin channel dedicated to PinePhone: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3auaIiXZ8qZmKc

The palm rest looks uncomfortable with that cutout. Also, close the lid once with the cable not being fully in the slot and you will break the screen. Further, does the trackpad really not support clicking?
@UGOMANER3 жыл бұрын
The click on the trackpad works normally. I have not observed any discomfort with the slot when typing.

Does this has other usb ports? besides the usb c i am considering one for gaming at hotels with my 5g phone cloud gaming
@UGOMANER4 ай бұрын
Yes you also have two USB-A ports. In the video, at the time I use the PS3 controller I am connected to the USB-A port:)

Would be nice Just need more phone compatibility
@UGOMANER11 ай бұрын
Yes, the concept is really cool. It would be great if mid-range smartphones could also take advantage of this feature because they are also powerful. On the other hand, if you don't have a lot of money, you can buy an old Samsung Galaxy S9 or S10, you can easily find one for less than 200$.

Good point! If not a physical connection Question? What about getting phones to connect via BLUETOOTH?@@UGOMANER
@UGOMANER11 ай бұрын
Samsung DeX can be used wired using a USB type C to HDMI adapter, or by connecting it to a dock or lapdock (like the Mirabook here). DeX can also be used wirelessly provided you have a TV/Monitor with wireless functionality. However if you are using wireless mode I do not recommend playing games as there will be a delay. If that was your question, yes we can use bluetooth with DeX.

how is the keyboard for typing?
@UGOMANER Жыл бұрын
Typing with the Mirabook's keyboard is very easy, because as the keys sink little it is possible to quickly switch from one to another. Unfortunately I don't know if it's a problem with my smartphone or the Lapdock, but sometimes when I press a key (for example "Delete") the action continues even after releasing the button, which is very annoying.

Thanks for the Video. It should be possible to stick an HDMI mini PC to the Mirabook and work with it as a normal Laptop. Some Raspberry Pi also.
@UGOMANER2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes it must be possible however it is important to note that the HDMI port of the MiraBook is an output and not an input. For the mini PC it would therefore be necessary that there is a USB-C video output (display port) or perhaps some kind of adapter.
@marcelveronetzki94222 жыл бұрын
@@UGOMANER Ah yes you're right. So you need to have a hdmi to usb-c adapter. The only video input is the usb-c one. Sounds logical 😀 My bad!
@UGOMANER2 жыл бұрын
@@marcelveronetzki9422 Yes that is it. However, you must use one that will be the right size because the space and very restricted. As can be seen at: 0:52

No portrait mode and Dex is only 1080p
@UGOMANER8 ай бұрын
Indeed Samsung DeX does not have a portrait mode, however if what it is just displaying exactly what is on your smartphone on an external screen, it is possible. Use DeX on an external screen in 4K and possible if you install the “Good Lock” app. On the other hand, the screen resolution of the Mirabook is 1080p.
@wilsont10108 ай бұрын
@@UGOMANER I just saw a video that demonstrated the portrait mode from Dex, but there was specifics on how it can be done, can you do a vid on this? Which is the first OneUI version that is able to support a 2K display?
@UGOMANER8 ай бұрын
@@wilsont1010 As for 2K, I believe it is available from Android 8, provided of course that the external screen is of this resolution, but this remains to be verified because I do not have an old enough device. As for DeX in portrait mode, I searched but couldn't find anything on the internet.
