Humans who can abuse & eat 'livestock' farm animals, can easily do the same for 'pet' animals any day, the fear of torture & death is the same for all- dog, lamb, pig, cat, cow, human etc. God bless those who don't fuel such cruelty.

보신탕 (dog-meat broth) is still popular all over Korea. There are dog-meat restaurants everywhere. Chunks of dog are openly sold in Osan market, just as they were when I first visited the market 15 years ago. Eating meat is certainly not illegal.

God is against dog meat eating but the reason why dogs can't be eaten is that they are unclean animals. Bible says that every animal that has paws is unclean and therefore can't be eaten. God also is against animal cruelty. He tells to treat animals humanly. But He isn't against dog meat eating for the reason that dogs would be special animals to Him. They are not. Dogs are as meaningless or as valuable as other animals to Him. And having pets is completely worldly thing. God doesn't have anything to do with it.
